I ordered my Premium AWD Extended in February, I've been tracking it using the tracker since I got my VIN, it has a Production Date of 6/18/21 and up until yesterday it had an ETA End Date of 8/7/21.
But today that changed on the tracker to 10/31/21.
I'm totally ok with the fact this means it may be nearly 9 months between order and delivery, I'm just curious why the slip, still silicon chip shortages maybe?

My delivery ETA just extended by 2 weeks.

Build date 6/22, ship date 6/24 with ETA of 8/4.
Now ETA is 8/18 per tracker and Ford customer web page.

Hopefully QA adjustments ??

I've been seeing multiple messages on the facebook group with similar delays as well

To all those with June/July build dates that haven't received any "Built" or "Shipped" dates. I just spoke with a Ford representative about my vehicle (In Production 6/14/21) and they shared that the MX assembly plant is currently "on hold" for releasing MMEs. They weren't able to give an estimate for when that hold would be lifted. So my vehicle is sitting somewhere at the plant still and I anticipate many others' vehicles are as well (doesn't bode well for my ETA delivery of 8/6). My assumption is that there are indeed component shortages and only a lucky few are getting out.

For clarity, my MME order is for a Premium, Extended Battery, AWD model.
There is a discussion in the Submitted Orders Tracking thread about this (click the quote for the thread). Seems to be a significant amount of orders with this happening.

There seems to be plenty available due to cancelled orders! That’s how we got ours after 3 months of waiting!
Yes but my dealer is charging $3k over MSRP for one on the lot which I’m not willing to do. I ordered mine beginning of June so it will take awhile but I’d rather wait even if it means waiting until 2022. This is the down side of Ford’s selling process. One benefit of Tesla is without dealerships people move up in line as orders are canceled.

If history serves as a view into the future, I wouldn't spend much time worrying about Ford passing on strange dates that appear out of the blue. They most likely do mean there is a stop ship going on, but often the new dates are exaggerated until Ford gets a handle on it.

Usually means a few weeks or a month, sometimes it turns out to be nothing big and passes quickly. I suggest that folks don't jump to conclusions or assume it's due to something they are experiencing.

I’m hoping you’re right!

I think many of us are concerned since our cars are stuck ‘in production.’ If I recall, when the 10/31 issue popped up before the cars were at least built.

If all the positive folks with no issues posted it still would get buried with the negative ones etc. No issues here, love my MME. I know this gets asked very often and answered the same way.

Ford is on a mission to produce X per month, nothing has stopped that so far in 2021. Ford also has been very vocal that they are on target with the MME. When you have such positive press you don't just stop production. I am sure more info will come forward if anything major is going on.

So confusing! I ordered mine in early April and it was built in early June. It's still scheduled to arrive sometime in the next couple of weeks (currently sitting in Delaware according to my dealer, arriving in NJ, but still needs two weeks to get here.) The model I reserved is a premium, RWD extended range model (to keep an MSRP below 55K so I could get state incentives.) Not sure why ordering a RWD vs AWD would make such a difference in production schedules though.

Welcome to the club, another NJ MME :)
