One concern mentioned earlier is the low clearance. That can be a killer ever for us ordinary folks if we are driving in snow, or even some driveways. Some sort of air-suspension(?) to raise a body a few inches could be a valuable option.

800V please.

Honestly Ford, give up on the performance car thing with the Mach-E. It's compact SUV that's kinda sporty and that's all. I hated the porky nature of the 22 GTPE I owned.

I test drove a new 24 Model 3 Performance - that's one of the few performance EVs that impressed me. I wanted a C8 before but am tempted by the new M3P.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I’ve had 5 Corvettes, 2 Challenger SRTā€˜s and 2 ā€˜true’ Mustang GTs. My GTPE is the quickest of all of them. Plus, ingress/ egress is easy, great sound system, great interior, etc.

I use Android Auto and it freezes up almost daily. This forces me to disconnect and then reconnect my phone. Not sure if Google is to blame or Ford or both. Luckily connectivity is not an issue with the car but it is still annoying to have the touch screen freeze up while driving.
That's really weird. I also used Android Auto and have never had that problem. I wonder if it specific to your model? Mine is 2022 Premium RWD

Same. Wireless AA has been very reliable for me in recent years.

Individual results do seem to vary a lot with this car.

I know the ground clearance complaints are in a specific context, but this is by far the safest car I have for parking at curbs and opening doors.
Both the Miata and the Porsche are curb-phobic. And rightfully so.

I have a 2022 Premium ER AWD with a Samsung Galaxy S23+. Yah I really have no idea. I almost wish I could do what I do with my PCs and just do a full factory reset and reinstall all the updates.

I have the same model MME but RWD and I use Galaxy S22+. Now, I am thinking I shouldn't upgrade my phone as that is the only thing different that might be causing the issue...I am sure there is a way to do a full reset on the car and then reinstall your phone. I know that is a pain. Sorry :(

Dear Ford take a wee bit more time tuning the suspension (magnaride on all trims?) and try and shed some weight.

Oh and for the love of all that is holy, fix the GD software. It (will be) 2027, the software should be zippy and smooth. And climate control should be physical buttons.

Oh and V2x please. Um, okay I think I'm done now ?
ventilated seats, Visual BSM (like Tesla, Honda), 10-Way Power Driver Seat, bonus if you add massage

I actually want minimum of 450 miles on my next one. Range drops fast when you need it - freeway speeds with four people, luggage and gear. Add a roof top carrier, and it drops more. Then consider trips that are mostly uphill (one direction) or windy days. 300 miles of actual range would be a good start. 300 top range in ideal circumstances, is not sufficient.
Not sure what combination of range or charging speed I need to do that in an EV, but that is the ideal I'm shooting for.

I make the drive from Denver to Reno and back a few times each year. About 1,000 miles one-way and my goals is usually to complete in in 16 hours including all stops. Get on the road about 4:00 AM and get there by 8:00 PM. Speeds will frequently hang out in the 80-90 mpg vicinity.

Not sure what combination of range or charging speed I need to do that in an EV, but that is the ideal I'm shooting for.

Also extended that trip twice a couple times to be Denver to Reno to Cabo San Lucas, 2600 miles each way. I can't even imagine at what point I'd be comfortable planning an EV trip down and up Baja California.
A few times is what? Three times? So that’s 6 days out of the year, 6/365 or less than 2% of all of the year. So, do you shop for that 2 percentile worst case or the 98th percentile everyday use case? Baja is a whole other story and probably once every few years so maybe a rental or an airplane might be suffice for that. I’m hoping to be able to drive it to Alaska some day :)

To my mind the low clearance comes with the territory of being a performance car. If you want an electrified Edge, that's fine, but I dig the low-slung styling of the Mach-E.

Can't wait to see what they come up with, current design is awesome. Ford design studio can come up with some awesome stuff.
And then Ford product planners quickly decontent it ?

If I can only own one car, I guess I shop for the 2% use case.
