Dealer tried the BC update today. I dropped it off at 7A, they called at noon and said it was ready. but when I picked it up, no BC. The shop managers response when I went back in to speak with them was "it didn't take"... they are trying again tomorrow.

My dealer just confirmed their glass company has a sufficient supply of replacement windshields, so they can go ahead with my windshield/pano recall. I asked them to do 21G01 at the same time, so we now have a race! Will the OTA for BlueCruise complete before I go in for the windshield/pano recall? This race is SO exciting ????

So, the race is getting exciting! 2.4.3 just arrived (successfully!) tonight. So, who will win this race - Team OTA or Team Pacifico Marple Ford? ?

I had my dealer perform the 21G01 install Monday. That night I took it on two Chicago area interstates. Nothing. Today I took it on 4 other interstates outside the city. Nothing. Do I need to take it back in? I've got a 900 mile trip on Saturday that I was REALLY hoping to use it on ?

Call them and ask them if they did every step in the instructions. The last step is to take the car out on the highway and confirm it works, sounds like they skipped that and maybe some other steps.

It was explained in another thread by members who have done it. The process is nearly foolproof and almost impossible for anything to go wrong.

I haven't done it myself. In my experience, if there is a way for something to fo FUBAR then I will find that way.

I lost Lane Centering once on a trip of 650 miles, and then once on the way back. Both times a power down restored it. I had the problem in the Fall, and they performed 21-2249 to resolve it.

22-2109 seems to apply, and it involves reprogramming of the IPMA.

I'm taking it in (unless the OTA updates happen) on 4/18 for 21G01. This also involves reprogramming of the IMPA.

Does 21G01 override 22-2109, i.e. the IPMA is being reprogrammed already so it's unnecessary?

2.4.3 was successful last night. Wife is happy the car "did it on it's own time" as well

Step #19, the "No" option, seems illogical. Instead of going to step 15, shouldn't it go to #21 or #22?

I would assume it’s the latest software for it included which would include any other recalls, but that’s just me ass-uming

Sounds familiar. My wife and I were out having breakfast this past Sunday and I happened to mention in passing that the Mach-E was going to the dealership on Friday the 8th for the glass recalls (even though my windshield has already been replaced twice) and for the Blue Cruise updates. Here is how that conversation went:

Me: Dropping off the car on Friday for some recalls and software updates. They said they can get it done in one day. Pick up on Friday after work or first things Sat morning.

Her: Like hell you are. Reschedule that crap until next week. I need the car on Saturday. What the F is Blue Cruise anyway?

Me: It's the hands free driving software that Ford promised a couple of years ago. The car has all the hardware but the software wasn't ready. It's all done baking now and ready to come out of the oven.

Her: Nope. Ain't gonna happen. No way am I going to trust day old bread. My girlfriends and I have a busy weekend planned and I don't want to be stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow. Who the hell thinks that driving without your hands on the steering wheel is a good idea? Whoever that is hasn't ever driven here in Phoenix with all the crazy drivers out there. People here don't just have minor fender benders. They crash NASCAR style and usually the yellow tape comes out and someone is riding home in a box. No thank you. Do it some other time.

So.....my appointment is now set for Monday the 11th.

Hah. My wife won't even drive my Mach E. Too small for her. She only drives her Navigator.

My car did retry 2.4.3 today and successfully updated. I may not keep my appointment if it takes 2 days to update the car its not worth not having my car for that amount of time. Yes, I also want everything immediately but it's a want, not a need.

My concern was that after failing the first time that the update to 2.4.3 would not work, and it did

Great news from the dealer this morning:

"It accepted the final update this morning and my Forman just got back from the test drive. He said everything is up and working now. You can schedule updates, auto update works and blue cruise is active."

Took mine in to the dealer for the 1.7.1 TSB fix this morning and added the "optional" Blue Cruise print out as my car fits the build dates. They said they would do it. Fingers crossed!
