Is Plug & Charge working for anyone? I have my car linked to my Ford account and a credit card uploaded but whenever I plug into an EA charger, I need to use either my CC at the station or activate it through the app. And even that is really wonky.

Works for me every time. I've never had it fail yet and I DCFC at least 1-2 times a week at EA. Always the same stations though and they are newer.

I took a trip to NC and used the same EA charger on the way there, and on the way back. Plugged in my car and it just started charging. No issues.

Plug and Charge has worked flawlessly for me at eight different EA locations.

Assuming you did all of the steps. You have to turn it on in FordPass.

Yes? But it only shows GreenLots and not EA. No option to add it.

Your free hours should be on the previous screen. If they aren't there, that may be why you don't show EA.

I remember when I enabled it said that you had to wait for EA to be activated. I assume it's been a while since you activated it so you might want to call Ford and ask them to look into why the activation never happened.

I think that screen shots explains why it's not working. It's not activated and therefore nope, ain't happening.

The charging balance has nothing to do with P&C. That's misinformation. Even if you have no balance P&C will work. It's likely that the activation was associated with the previous owners email (Ford Account). You're just gonna have to call Ford and have it straightened out.

I have been noticing that if the EA charger was around when the EA was added to the FordPass for plug and charge, it works perfectly (if the charger is not experiencing issues). If it is a newer EA charging station, those are not in the FordPass app at all. If they are, it does NOT use plug and charge. Sounds like Ford and EA need to get together and refresh the list of stations that allow plug and charge.

Talking to Ford support right now. First response was that I needed a $50/year EA subscription to get it activated as part of Plug & Charge? That doesn't seem right.

It is not right. And they meant Plug and Charge, not EA. That fee is for the discounted EA and other networks. P&C is free for 2 years.
