Poll: Have you gotten OTA 4.1.2 (the UI refresh)?

You’re probably right. Unless my car has some weird software configuration which is causing Ford to think I’m not eligible for the update, and which would not register as an install failure.

I don’t know if Ford periodically queries cars on its end to see what software they are running. I would think Ford would have to do this - otherwise any updates pushed via FDRS would be unknown on Ford’s end (unless eventually reported by a service center) and play havoc with OTA deployment.

Well FDRS is constantly connected to Ford Servers so they know which modules get updated successfully. It's basically the same way it works for OTA. The first part of the process it takes stock of current module versions and then decides if the update should proceed. But you'd still see a software updating pending, this is how it's been explained to me, maybe something changed. It's definitely weird and annoying as hell.

Part of me is excited to try out the snappier UI people are mentioning and the other part of me is scared at what bugs Ford will manage to sneak in.

The release does have a few features that should be quite useful (camera button, knob controlling temp selection, ford nav route planning that does use elevation change). But I don't need any of them. I'd trade the OTAs for a new HVJB that was robust.

We 2 Mach-E 's 1 has the newest update, 21 premium, 22 Select with Tech package, is 5 updates behind. So go figure, im not sure who or what decides.

Yes, that's what it did for me. I went out and started the car and then hit the little update thingy at the top of the screen.

You may need to start the car for it to be initiated before whatever your update time is set to.

I noticed that I have
deploymentFinalConsumerAction: "General Failure Will Retry" in Ford.com.

When will it retry? In a day, week? Can I do something to avoid the failure?

I just brought my car (built Oct 2022, delivered Dec) in for a software update to the dealership, and they told me there was no UI updates available for me yet. I specifically asked for 4.1.2., but am still on 3.5.4.

So it’s not that the car is “stuck,“ it’s just that it’s not being rolled out to me yet, and the majority of us in the poll it seems.

Out of EA. The build date 2022/07. I received the first update ever (to 3.5.2.1) last week.

Just got mine today 21GTPE it was a third update in less than a week going from 3.5 to 4.1.2. Woot woot

Same here! No EA - on my April 2021 Premium 4X.
