I'm seeing the same thing in the app but my car does show the release notes. I got this update two days ago and about a month after I got 4.1.2

Received 4.1.3 at some point last week and while the Wi-Fi is of no value to me, I’d love to know what the CarPlay bit is all about.

Anecdotally, it feels like CarPlay connects more quickly. I haven’t had to reset the screen in a few days (which I normally do if it lags or can’t connect.)

I’m pretty sure the release notes were just a doofy way of saying, “We improved the CarPlay connectivity issues we were having over the last few months.”

The wording for this update sounds very much like it's regarding handling for captive portals.

AKA splash pages on public wifi for folks who don't work in IT (IT people call these captive portals)

2022 Mach E Premium AWD Extended Range, got the update today after getting barraged with incremental updates starting with one for 3.6.1 late last month.

I took delivery of my custom order in Sept 2022, no idea what job number that is, maybe #2 for 2022?

yeah I assumed it was for captive portals, wouldn't make much sense otherwise. It's not like the car knows what is or is not public wifi just from the SSID.

The guest mode bug thing is a 100% of the time occurrence for me since 4.1.3 installed on my car. In the 18 months prior to that I can count the number of times I experienced that bug on one hand. Be that as it may, I’ve never not been able to switch profiles. Reboot sync is just the standard cure-all in these here parts.

Perhaps. But why?
It makes absolutely no sense to have to fight any system. Technology is only good/beneficial when it works.
It must work w/o exception. No excuses. No reboot nonsense. Get it right, then send it out.
Do not update something that undoes something that is working. If you cannot send viable updates, DO NOT send them.
FIX IT.
Hire an old guy who knows what he is doing.
