Have you tried to add it back? I'm hoping this update will allow it to be added to 2021 Job 1 cars.
Yea - I'm really hoping this IPC update allows '21 Job 1's to add it. Will certainly try whenever I get the update, but still on 6.4.0 for now.

It seems like power ups are crazy different for everyone. I got a new Mach E in June, I have power up 6.1.0, I think it updated once when I was driving around. How do I get updates? I have wifi turned on. So strange.
I know what you mean.
My new car came off the truck 2 weeks ago in Nov. Got a message this morning that it was successfully updated to 6.1.0.

I have a message saying “a software update is downloading”. Since my last update failed, I’m currently sitting in my car with it on, trying to will the car to install this update once it’s done downloading.
How will I know when it’s completed downloading? Will the “Update now” button light up?
A watched update never loads.

I have a 2023 RWD premium in EAP, car is currently installing PowerUp 6.8.0. I didn’t take screenshot of release notes but it appears to be an IPC update if we are to believe Ford is getting better at accurate release notes. It is an inhibit update, will get screenshot when it’s finished.

I’m only up to this one on 2023 premium standard, it was in shop for an accident with only 252 miles on her. I’m a bit behind I think I get a new update like everyday it seems.

Just got 6.7.0 today. I’ve gotta take the car out tomorrow and enjoy the beautiful unbridled graphics one last time before 6.8.0 arrives and they’re gone forever.

I'm planning to turn off automatic updates right after I get 6.7.0 or until they release something meaningful such as a "no more 5-second limit".

6.8.0 is a HUGE step backwards and doesn't appear to offer any benefit to me.

Looks like it does. I fired up forscan to enable the frunk button on the APIM and figured I’d try the power meter on the IPC too, and it worked.
The one potential complicating factor is that I had my IPC hardware replaced for the buzzing complaint earlier in the year, but fingers crossed this works for the rest of the job 1 21s.

Great news! I've also had my IPC replaced for the buzzing, so I'll be looking forward to enabling it once I get 6.8.0 (got 6.6.0 yesterday).

I got 6.8.0 yesterday. I'll try to add the power meter again later today and see what happens. I haven't gotten my IPC replaced, but I will if that's a requirement for the power meter to work.

I don’t understand how these updates are rolled out. I also have a 2023 premium RWD and I got an update last night but only to 6.3. I was on 6.1. Is it a staggered release throughout the month?
1 at a time. It's coming, like Winter. That took 2 seasons and about 26 months if I remember right.

I'd love to have that, just so I don't look at the car in the middle and constantly remind myself the speedo moved away.
I actually think there should be some limit to the amount of moving things after people have owned the car for years. Thankfully we don't Taycan style round gauges to move around.

To be honest, the more I think about it, I dont mind it I bet they do slow roll outs so that if there is something critical it doesn't effect every single MME on the road. I have not had any problems with my MME so far so whatever it takes to keep it on the road :D

Just went out and started it, and it is downloading 6.8. Left it running on the 30 min timer with heat and lights off.

With the replacement, did it still slightly buzz? If so, did this update fully eliminate the buzzing? I believe that is what was supposed to happen - replace IPC and slightly reduce buzzing and then a new update to fully eliminate it.

It's subjective, but I'm not noticing any audible improvement after the 6.8.0 update.

The original display hardware was loud enough to be annoying when sitting in an otherwise quiet car, and the replacement unit improved on it to the point where it didn't bother me any more. But even then it was definitely still audible when the backlight is on (pulling the parking brake lever to wake the indicator light is enough to trigger that).

Post-update, it sounds the same to me; tolerable but noticeable.
