Rather amusingly, updates occasionally reset my radio to 88.7 fm on every preset. 88.7 is Hawaii Public Radio-1 in this area. Which is what I listen to most of the time. It’s not a glitch, it’s a feature!
What island are you on? Only saw one Mach-E, during our two week stay in Maui. The wife and I are working on a 5 year plan to sell our house, here in California, and move to the islands. The charging infrastructure leaves something to be desired but not a huge deal as we plan on installing solar (if allowed).

I wouldn't wait. If it will update now, press the button and make it do it now. If you wait till midnight your 12V battery may be too low to let the update proceed.
Having a lot of trouble getting my updates. I've done it all, turning off the air, locking the car etc. I thought that the 12V battery might be a problem doing the update overnight. So, after returning home after driving 90 miles I manually hit the "update now" button and it still wouldn't work. I had this problem a month or two ago and after 3 weeks of trying, voila, it went through. Two days later another one went through. Now it's been trying to update every day for two weeks and nothing. Any advice?

Hawaii island.

The NEVI and IRA plans for Hawaii state only require 1 DCFC per island with the exception of Hawaii island where 6 are required. All islands have more although getting around them, with the exception of the big island, is easy enough even in a SR MME.

Solar is good, although most places no longer have any available units for selling to the grid, it’s that common here. We have a battery system and use the grid as a backup. Off peak hours are 9 am through 5 pm daily due to solar availability to the utilities.

Mine failed. Tried manually and it failed. Checked SOC of LVB and it was 58%. Ran car till it hit 81% and tried manually again. Success.

I too believe 1.2 is coming.

Updates should force the LVB to charge to 80% and then update.

I'd be willing to bet it isn't smart enough to add a frunk button in Fordpass for MY1 folks. lol
I have the frunk button n fordpass. Its to the left of tge trunk button. I also have a MY1. Your dealer can add it if you say it was tgere and dissapeared!

Well if you're having that much of a problem I'd contact the service advisor and ask them to take a look at the OTA dashboard and tell you why the car is saying the updates aren't happening. Their system actually gives reasons as to why that's happening. Just ask them to look it up.

I have my check updates scheduled for 0900 every morning so it does it while I'm driving in an area with 3 bars of AT&T and I know at that point my 12V battery will be back to above 80% SOC.

You can also reset your 12V battery learned values to make sure the battery is getting fully recharged while you're driving.

Here's how to do that:
Press the start button without stepping on the brake.
Flash the highbeams with the stalk 5 times, and then step on the brake pedal 3 times, and after that check the red battery icon on the instrument panel to see that it flashes like three times. And then shut the ignition off. And then you can turn the car fully on and drive off. Your 12V battery should then fully recharge (if it wasn't doing that before).

This is real good information to have, thank you.

The one person at Ford managing the release notes must be having a blast.
Almost as good as Slacks "We've tuned up the engine and adjust some things"

I am seriously impressed! How do you know this stuff? It’s like the secret sauce that everyone craves but nobody knows how to make!

You must not have a 2021 Job 1. The FordPass update for a funk button must be done on the back end by ford. Dealers can’t do it.
