Purchasing and Programming another FOB

As per usual here lately - no updates on my FedEx tracking so I doubt it'll be here today. Maybe tomorrow.

I don't think I've had many packages at all, outside of some from Amazon, arrive on their scheduled delivery date here recently.

I checked this morning, and it changed it's mind where it is shipping from. It's now shipping from MI, and the package hasn't even been received by FedEx (at the time of this post), so no way in Hades is it making it to Texas today, or even in the next day or two.

The fob is now listed as backordered on the Ford Parts site. My order is still "processing", so not sure if it will ship or if it will end up getting cancelled.

Well their were only a few of us chatting about it, they shouldn't have run out already????

agreed. What you want to order is a keyFOB, not a key.

OK, after reading all 4 pages of this thread, and the Owner's Manual, I have come to the conclusion that, unlike my F-150, you can not program your fob yourself.

The F-150 Manual has specific instructions on how to program a 3rd fob, and numerous people on the forum have done it.

The Mach E Manual does not do that, see below, that is Page 62.

I got a call from Ford parts saying it’s back ordered and won’t cancel the order yet

Mine hasn't moved since getting picked up yesterday. Still says delivery today, but obviously not happening.

Was hoping it'd arrive before I go by my dealership tomorrow so I could kindly ask how to program it.

Also just remembered that when picked up my Mach-E the Sales Manager was searching all over the car at one point, finally asked him what he was looking for and he said "we can't find the other keyfob!", had to break the news that they only come with one...

It's worth it to me to have the dealer program the extra transmitter I bought. When My Mach E is done traveling the United States In Transit for over a month, I told the salesman I wanted it done no charge and he said no problem. Will take about 10 minutes.

Looks identical to the fob that came with my Mach-E (minus the blank key part obviously).

Whenever I can get back to my dealership I'll ask if they could program it and see what they say.

Pretty sure it contains all the electronics. It’s got more heft than a plastic shell.
Haven’t opened the package since it says it’s not returnable once opened.

Haha, ask them if they can program it with it still in the bag just in case it doesn't work.
