I called my dealer today at 5:04AM and left a message that I want my recall done this week. Nobody returned my call within 10 minutes so I called over and over until someone finally answered at 7:01AM and of course they have no idea about this update. Unbelievable.

I am sure most dealers will not know about this update until they start getting calls saying I saw on the internet that parts are available. Once they start getting the flood of calls though i am sure they will come up with a plan on how to respond to the calls.

This means that if you had your HVBJB previously replaced as part of TSB 23-2348, you will not need to get it replaced again.

finally, a real physical recall. Orderly, scheduled, like it should have been from the beginning.

I am hoping this time-consuming repair will trigger a free loaner...
I know someone who just had their's done in less than 24hrs.

A little birdie just told me that the dealership needs to order the parts (basically the HV Junction Battery contactor stuff and the BECM and the SOMDBC modules) thru Ford's Special Service system prior to receiving the car for recall work. That is supposed to occur five (5) days prior. Then the work can be done.

Dealer and Owner Support:
To help manage shop flow, Ford is sequencing parts distribution, and will be notifying owners starting with those who have not received the software update or hardware replacement, so you can begin servicing them. In addition, the Ford Ambassador Recall team is there to support you and our owners along the way.

I know this question has been asked a million times throughout a million threads but if I manage to get this "new" part, I assume it is the same as what they are installing in current Mach Es or did they make additional changes to avoid failure. Sorry, I'd say that am lazy to look for the answer but I am seeing cross-eyed after looking at countless threads on the subject.
IMO there is no definitive answer. The recall language does not say anything about a newer part, because if you had it replaced after the HVBJB was updated in early 2022, you don't need to have it replaced again. So that suggests there isn't a newer part. But nowhere does it say there isn't a newer part that is being used for this recall.

If there isn't a newer part, why did it take so long to get the parts ready for this recall? Was it simply because they had to make sure they had enough in stock, or is it because they were getting a new part ready for the recall? Either is possible, but I suspect there is a newer part and they are not telling us because it would mean those who have had it replaced before need to have it done again. And they want to avoid that, right?

Someone will get their hands on the HVBJB being used in the recall and then maybe we will have the answer. Inquiring minds want to know!

My 2021 AWDx had a HVBJB failure. It was in the shop about 50 days. Finally got it back Monday of this week. Says the HVBJB was changed but that the recall remains outstanding...no clue what this means.

I just got word from my service manager that parts are on order and they expect them to arrive next week. He did not have any details about the part or if they were following the latest recall guidance but I suspect I will be one of the first owners that is getting their car fixed post updated recall.

I am eagerly waiting to see my repair documents to see what was done.
