It was not. Mine was replaced in October and the recall remained active. Million dollar question for me is what part will I get since mine failed again on Sunday. Parts are expected to be in next week so I am cautiously optimistic.
wow, yours only lasted 1 month?

Confusingly, I believe there’s a “C” version of the 4X HVBJB. Afaik, @heisnuts has killed the 4X HVBJB-C plenty of times. tbh, I wish Ford would put him on the payroll to see what he can do to these latest revisions.
Yes, there was a C version, which I did have fail on me. After the C version is when Ford went to the remanufactured version, which the first one failed almost immediately and the second one was still in it when Ford bought back the car. Now that a recall has been issued they had to go back to new parts since they would never have enough remanufactured parts to satisfy the recall numbers.

Before the car went back to Ford, I volunteered to let them install a tracking device so I could take it out on my back road routes and allow engineering to see exactly the routes, road elevations, throttle positions, speeds, etc. It stored everything for them and as I understand it that data was used by engineering to run simulations using my driving data to make sure the new parts could handle the loads. I came away with the impression the team was very interested in the data and really wanted to make sure this problem is resolved. Hopefully they succeeded, but only time will tell for sure.

I hope so too; however, there is only so much you can fit into the small package that is the HVBJB. I am not sure how much you can improve the contactors without increasing the bus size and adding some form of active cooling. I am still on the original but I certainly do not drive as you did. I also have active cooling half of the year! (However I know a couple have failed up here in Alaska)

How do you know that?
I base that on the different part numbers listed in Technical Service Bulletin 23-2348 dated November 9, 2023 compared to the part numbers listed in the Safety Recall 23S56 notice to dealers dated December 18, 2023. TSB 23-2348 lists the old part numbers ending in -B, -C, and -D for the three relevant trims, and the dealer notice lists the new -C, -E, and -F versions. See attached.

Logical deduction, but Steve reported he received the "C" part in his GTPE.

My HVBJB died this October and was replaced. Was the new part available at that time? The Recall is still active on my car when I checked.
Mine failed and was replaced in August. It was replaced with LK9Z-10C666-CRM (remanufactured version of the current part). Check your paperwork from the replacement. I would assume yours is the same as mine. ??

My guess is you got a part that was upgraded to "C", but most (maybe all) of the parts used for the recall will be new parts.

I am just guessing! But it makes sense. If there are new contactors, they could put them in old defective parts to reduce waste. But they need more volume for all the recalls that are needed. Also, I am sure the new part is already in production.

I doubt we will ever know the exact date of the production switch to “C", but I bet it was in the August time frame.

Interesting and a bit of a mystery. TSB 23-2257 dated August 21, 2023 lists the applicable GT remanufactured part number as LK9Z-10C666-BRM, so not sure how you got the -CRM version. Perhaps you could post your invoice showing the part number, or better yet a picture of the part or box with the number visible.

Yeah, it was an older part upgraded to the “C” part. I seem to recall a few posts about this same part prior to mine popping, so July or August would be a good guess on the switch. I hope someone who’s had it replaced in July can confirm or discount that. ??

I'm a little concerned about only getting the C replacement last year and not the latest/greatest, but not concerned enough to keep us from driving it normally. Which for us includes 6-7 long road trips each year. My bigger concern is what happens if it craps out again 1000 miles from home, like happened to us in Reno last year. That was a royal pain as we had to leave it at a local dealership there for a month, then return a month later to get it.

I don't care about the downtime to fix it so much (we have another car that would suffice), I just want to be able to finish our trip and drive it home rather than leaving it. I was encouraged by someone a few months ago that said they were able to do that, just without full power.

My paperwork did not list the model number

This has certainly crossed my mind. 38,000miles on my FE without issue....

I never even got the windshield/roof recall completed. Mostly because my dealer didn't want to do it.
I would definitly get those done, it’s unsafe. The windshield might be barely on there. They dont remove the roof, which made me feel better, they reseal from inside the car. They have done enough of them id get it done before it expires (not sure if it does)

I've tried twice to get them done but the dealership has done none and kept putting me off on their body shop, who continued to claim the roof glass would have to be removed, even after I printed and showed them the instructions.... Then refused to follow up with me to at least schedule the windshield.

That didn't instill any confidence in me and I'm not comfortable with their body shop removing my headliner and replacing it.
