The dealer in Fl uses vouchers for an enterprise right down the street. They have a contract with them. Has to be a Ford rental and probably a POS but what are u going to do.

We do not know that any of the C part have specifically failed. There have been a few reports of a SVS with this part. The SVS doesn’t indicate a failure, just that the car thinks something is going wrong (it could be a failed part but it’s more likely that the part is in process of borking). An SSN would indicate a failure since the won’t run. ??
I'm an EV only household. I have a standard range Mustang so I'm not dealing with this recall. But if I were, I'd be very appreciative of the gas card for the gas rental I'd probably be given from the dealer.
My Job 1 2021 AWD ER (FE) HVBJB was replaced in Nov 2022 (28k miles) with the C part under TSB 22-2178 (according to the paperwork). It's not showing a recall for my VIN (yet, anyway). Put another 21k miles on since.
Yup, this is the best news of the whole thing! It may also explain the time gap between when the recall was announced and the start of the replacement campaign as the second revision (overall third versions) had to finish their development/testing phases before being brought to production.
It’s important to note that there are different part numbers for the various trims. The GT is going from revision GT HVBJB-B to new revision GT HVBJB-C. Since no GTs have gotten the latest GT HVBJB-C, none have failed.
You are exactly right on the GT part numbers. The old GT full part number was LK9Z-10C666-B, and the new part number just changes to -C. As you say, no one has this yet. For the 4X Premium, the old part number was NK4Z-10C666-C, and the new part number changes to -E.It’s important to note that there are different part numbers for the various trims. Confusingly, I believe there’s a “C” version of the 4X HVBJB. Afaik, @heisnuts has killed the 4X HVBJB-C plenty of times. tbh, I wish Ford would put him on the payroll to see what he can do to these latest revisions.

The difference between the Bolt battery and the MME HVBJB is that the Bolt battery was not a defective part (only a very small number of batteries, misassembled by supplier in a small run, were involved). It makes perfect sense not to replace the good batteries. We were just fortunate to get a new larger capacity battery at no cost. So, a 2020 model year would be far removed from the recall group and consequently not require replacement. I agree, the recall/replacement was unnecessary overkill. Therefore, odd but explained.
It was not. Mine was replaced in October and the recall remained active. Million dollar question for me is what part will I get since mine failed again on Sunday. Parts are expected to be in next week so I am cautiously optimistic.
