Control/right-click on the page and select "Inspect". The rest of the instructions should track.

Well, it was an interesting computer exercise, but seems pretty worthless really. ? I just wanted to see if my cheap-ass Acer 311 would work, and it did! ?

The advantage of that is you don’t have to get in the car or near it. You can even look it up oversea I guess as long as you have internet.

For what it is worth, the procedure worked fine with DuckDuckGo browser.

Means it connected to the server while charging or driving. Which is why you can’t really gain a lot of information from a random voltage check.

The actual battery voltage are the ones when battery free of load and under load, both without any external charging applied.

Still, the unloaded battery voltage, at rest, is a pretty good indication of state of charge. The voltage under load is a good indicator for battery health. As a rule of thumb, I would consider 12.00V under no load to be a critical state, either the battery is at 25% or it cannot hold a charge anymore. A decently charged battery should stay at 12.4, a new one between 12.8 and 13V.
There are ways to test battery health using special testers or even a 12V automotive bulb but we are already getting into the weeds...

I'm sorry, but what is the point of doing this? The voltage is going to vary a lot and not tell you much useful information. You're not going to be able to detect if the battery is dying ahead of time. They can just go dead suddenly even if the last reported voltage is good.

Battery voltage is simply a "comfort metric" that gives a false sense of security.

If anyone is this paranoid, I think they should just replace their 12V battery rather than worry about it constantly.

This does not seem to work anymore. Apparently, have changed how the dashboard works. If the reason for the change for them was just seeing this or a similar post and preventing us from accessing that data, I have no words for Ford...

Don’t know which browser you used but Firefox still shows my LVB voltage.
