The Pirelli's are the list as possible 3rd set of tires. Went from the OEM Michelin to Bridgestone Turanza EV at 22,000 miles. 9,000 miles on and the Bridgestones look fine. I did see about a 2 tenths drop in MpKw. Quieter and handle better.

I wanted to add another opinion after completing a 1,000 mile road trip last week from northern California and Joshua Tree Nat'l Park and back via Tehachapi/Mojave. The Pirellis were very quiet cruising at the posted speed limit on Interstate 5 and CA-58. On the elevation climb to Joshua Tree we got around 3.2 miles/kWh and on the way back got around 3.5. No noticeable difference from the efficiency of the OEM Michelins.

I am in SF Bay Area, CA (so no snow) and I am not planning to use my Select MachE for roadtrips to Tahoe. For daily commute, is Pirelli p zero as plus 3 elect a better tire than Michelin CC2 ?
priority is comfort, dry and wet traction and efficiency (range).

Comfort, quiet, efficiency (they are EV spec tires) and dry traction yes. Wet traction not sure, they may be equal or the CC2’s might have the edge. CC2’s are a grand touring all weather tire that are amazing in the snow. The Pirelli’s are high performance all season’s and the Plus means an emphasis on comfort and quiet. These are two different classes of tires.

Another source of opinion on the AS+ 3. This will be my next tire.

https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Pirelli/P-Zero-AS-Plus-3.htm
It should be noted that this review as well as the test results on Tire Rack are for the non-elect version of the AS+3. I have not been able to find test results on the elect version, or any specifics on the differences between it and the normal version, other than the elect has the foam noise reduction added. If there have been formulation changes to the tread compound to improve rolling resistance and/or tread life, the performance will undoubtedly be affected.

I have the AS+3's and love them. They are quiet and smooth and stick to the road like glue. I did not get reduced range when I changed from the special EV tires that were on my fist Mach e when I bought it used. I will probably replace with another set when the time comes, although I'll be interested in the reviews of the Cross Climate 3 Sports coming out later this year. I would also be interested in a review of the AS+3 elects to see if there are any performance differences between it and the normal version.

After two sets of OEM Pirelli P Zero tires on my 2022 GTPE, I'm holding out for Pirelli's new P Zero E tire with RunForward technology. The tire was introduced a couple of years ago on the European market but is not yet offered in the USA.

There still no word from Pirelli regarding when this tire will be available on the US market. When it does make its debut, it will probably be as an OEM tire for an EV sedan.

Still, one can always hope that Pirelli makes this tire available to us soon! Based on my experience with their performance tires so far, I'm ready to be a launch customer!
Hi, where can I go to check this tire's availability in the US?

As of right now the only size the P Zero E I’ve seen available here in CA is 275/50R20. Hoping to see more sizes available soon.

Early feedback after switching from crossclimate 2 to Pirelli as plus 3 elect. Thought overall there is less noise, but on uneven road or on bumps, there is more noise. The ride was more plush on CC2. Efficiency TBD.

Very interesting your assessment so far. On several reviews of others those particular Pirellis have been rated very smooth and quiet compared to the CC2’s. I have a friend with a 2017 model S that went from the CC2’s to these same Pirelli’s about 4 months ago and we both noticed right away the noise was definitely lower over the same freeway (HWY 280 and 101) in the Bay Area that we are both very familiar with. As far as smoothness, have not really noticed a change in that area but then the roads driven on are smooth to begin with. He is reporting a slightly higher range but that’s to be expected as the CC2’s have an average to poor rating in Europe on rolling resistance. Michelin has said their replacements have been improved in this area.
