Looks like they opened the hood with a can opener.

Instead of a Heads Up Display they are using a Below Level Suspension Monitor...

And wasn’t the claim that the “hood scoop” served some functional cooling purpose?
Yes, it cools the contents of your frunk by soling them with water.

Man what they did to the hood looks terrible
Unless they added a hidden flap so you can reach right into the frunk to avail yourself of a frosty beverage...

Digging the Sir Mix A Lot quotes, I cannot lie.................

But.....I'm gonna step off now and be the big jerk and point out what I think is obvious but y'all are missing in this pick. Feel free to flame me if you like, I got my Nomex suit on ?

Ok, if you zoom in you will see that it does not dump into the frunk. It's a radiator. Air is forced up from the grill through this additional radiator and across the hood and up the windshield, providing additional cooling. Shelby stated earlier that they are working on some software upgrades to make the car perform better. I don't know what they are or if they have said anything more. Speculation is this will negate the 5sec rule the GT has now.

Ok, that's all I got...........Flame On ????

TRP is right on point. There are several youtube videos where the folks at Shelby weigh in.
--The reverse scoop is where the air passes from the front bottom grill area through the radiator and out over the top of the hood. I may be one of the few, but I like the way it looks; reminds me of the old GT 40 design.

They have said they are working on motor performance enhancements, but say its still a secret on exactly what changes. I'm speculating that Shelby is working with Ford Performance to either get rid of the 5 second limitation or extend it to boost 10 -11 seconds for those who like the drag strip.

Notice the change in side striping since its debut at Vegas several months ago, a little more subtle now. I like it.

I love the looks; I'm a buyer. Hopefully in 2023.

Remember, you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig.

Not to make people mad, but no matter how they market it, it is still an SUV and registered as a truck in my state.

My guess is we're no where near going to production on it. I'm pretty high on the list at Shelby American and they haven't contacted me to talk about building one.

I'm not a huge fan of the Deep Draw hood, but it's got it's history in Shelby lore, going back to the Series 1.

Shelby does make a F150 also ?

I don't get why states register an SUV as a truck. Are plates cheaper that way?

I believe technically it is a heat extractor. Classic Shelby design ala GT40. If it is functional and there for a reason...as in it is a proven design to keep things cool, I am ok with it. Heat management is a big part of EV's.

While I like the design, I was hoping Shelby would revive the GR-1 as an EV or even the modern Cobra concept. Now that we have a MME in the family, I'd like to see more offerings in a roadster/sports car configuration. Sedans are out, just some manufacturers dont know it yet.

I had one, 2018. Suspension went to shit and no one would fix it so I sold it.
