Should I feel Guilty For Using Gas Station Squeegees?

Has anyone pulled into a gas station with the express purpose of cleaning the windows? Now that the bugs in Canada have decided it's warm enough to fly into my path on the highway again, and given the lack of amenities at DCFC charge stops, what's a guy to do?

I suppose I could buy an overpriced Gatorade each time, but do you think they even care? Or notice for that matter?

Armor-all Glass Wipes and Windex are just leaving streaks.

Given the condition of many squeeges, not to mention the solution mix, I suggest buying your own and a bottle of windex in the frunk. I find windex with a squeege to be streak free.

This post is hilarious, only because just yesterday I was on a mini road trip and stopped to grab a drink from a convenience store and tossed around the idea of pulling up to a pump and squeegeeing my window clean, but there were a lot of cars and I didn't feel like waiting, but had this same question ?

I bought a squeegee for home, but it's road trips which are the problem. Bonus - great for cleaning the windows on the house too

Yes, a little. But only enough that you don't make a habit of it.

Margins on selling gas are thin, especially if you use a credit card. Really, you should go buy that overpriced Gatorade as a thank you to them for providing the service of selling gasoline. If you're buying gasoline.

No. I’ve used their trash cans too. SpaceEVDriver’s point about previous purchases is well taken.

Either way gas stations make basically nothing on (non-premium) gas. Sometimes they even lose money.

They’ll be perfectly happy if you go inside and buy a snack or something.

I can’t imagine the workers there would care one way or the other since it will not impact them.

You can always Look at it as they will get your business in the future when they are forced to install DCFCs after everything is switched over to EVs and nobody is buying gas anymore ?
