Thank you to everyone that's contributed to this thread. I had the same mirror wind noise in my 23 Premium AWD Ext and this thread helped me consider fixes. I ended up going a different route and we'll see how it holds up!
I found a rubber trim piece on Amazon that I inserted in the gap and it has fixed the wind noise.

Thanks. I wonder whether this stripping works better than a piece of window screen spline.

In my opinion it'll certainly be easier to remove if I ever need to and it stops the wind from ever getting an opportunity to even enter the gap, if I had pressed the screen spline in too far for example.
I just installed it yesterday evening. If I run into any issues with it I'll post an update.

Thanks @Phil-Springs willing to give that a shot but man if Ford had my car for three days and disassembled the entire door and couldn't fix it. I was so mad at them, I don't think they even test-drove it after all that work giving me a rental etc.

Ah switched threads in reply, but yes we shouldn't have to do this. But i spent less time implementing this fix that worked than I've taken reading this thread today.

Got mine in the mail today cut them to 10 1/2 inches each now I gotta do is stop raining. I actually don’t know if I even have any noise from the mirrors, but I’m gonna try putting these on. It came with a little tool.

I've developed a fix for the wind noise coming from the side mirrors. Previous testing reveled a reduction in noise when these areas are covered:

Others have reported some success caulking the gaps with Dynaflex, but personally I find that a bit sloppy. If the caulk doesn't go well or cracks later on, it's a pain to remove and redo.

So instead I decided to try 3mm window screen retainer spline:

The end result looks okay and does reduce the wind noise somewhat to 62-65 dB @ 70 MPH:

We'll see if it comes loose in time, but I wind tested it to 90 MPH and it stayed put. There is still a small horizontal gap at the front of the door trim (small tape triangle in first photo), I'll need to do some additional testing to see if that's worthwhile to cover or not. The gap is not constant there, so the spline won't stay put. I may try a small piece of PPF to cover that gap.
I went outside in between raindrops. I believe the way Lee is going, It’s much easier unless you’ve got to use some silicone or something. That’s a pretty wide piece of rubber to stick in that small gap so I think the screen rubber would be a better route.

The screen spline is still working fine for me 9 months later. Occasionally the car wash knocks the end loose, but it always stays in while driving.

It seemed wide when I first tried too. I ordered 2 sizes originally, but the other size was too small. I then figured out a way to use the tool to pry it in there. I realize I should've videoed the process. My driver's side had a wide gap and this filled it nicely. It's still working well and has been through a couple of car washes and many 120 km/hr trips down the highway with no movement or change.
Also if you're not sure whether you have the noise, you probably don't! Haha
It was very apparent in ours and to test I tried folding the mirrors at highway speed and it got significantly worse. Now there's no change in sound with the mirrors in or out.

EDIT: Please see post #83 for a better solution.

Welp, after screen spline still wasn't doing the trick I tried this stuff and FINALLY something fully quieted the wind noise completely! I don't *love* the look, but honestly I am likely to be the only person who ever notices the extra piece of rubber. Thanks for the suggestion, @IslandEV
