Must only be on some cars like the windshield/glass roof noise that's only on some cars. I had that one and added the rubber strip between the two pieces of glass but I have absolutely no noise coming from the mirrors on either side.
Yup, I think only some vehicles have the wind noise issue. Just depends on the tolerances.

You also have the laminated side glass, which reduces wind noise generated by the mirrors.

It’s probably not as prevalent as the ol glass roof lip noise complaints. My roof has always been as quiet as can be. The left rear view mirror on mine is at worst only somewhat mildly noisy. Honestly, I’ll likely save the spline for the screens on the windows around the house. But for some folks this is a good thing. YMMV.

Maybe I listen to my music too loudly.

When I am on the highway next time, I will turn off the music and see if I can hear anything. But I have never noticed it before...

I honestly doubt it’s a widespread problem. Mine is very mild and on the driver’s side only. It’s never really bothered me, and it’s still far quieter than any Tesla I’ve ever been in.

For me it was a fluttery, staticky kind of wind noise. Now gone with the black RTV sealant.

Which explains my Job 1 GT PE not having the noise but my Job 2 Premiums did.

Will try this fix soon (been on vacation for the last two weeks).

However, I still think general road noise is high in this car. Wearing ear plugs is a no-no lol.

None of the GTs were Job 1 cars. They were all manufactured after July 7, unless you’re referring to a 2022 or 2023 GT-PE. ?‍♂?

Yeah... I had a Job 1 2022 GTPE that was built in April but held for 4 months as it ate Krispy Kreme next to the plant parking lot.

I think that was giving the HVJB time to age, like cheese.

I did the RTV on the mirrors and ran the Ford weatherstrip between the windshield and glass roof. The weathership has an adhesive strip on it that I did not expose so that I could slide it from the side of the glass roof and through a push/pull get it all the way across. I did both the mirrors and the weatherstrip at the same time so I don't know which might have made the bigger difference. But, the wind noise reduction is significant (no dB test). My wife even commented on the car being quieter without knowing that I had done anything.

Anyone else do the window screen on their mirror? Any db test before and after?

with speed limits here at 90km (55mph) Ive never noticed any noise till the other day.
110km (~65mph) left side ... sounds like leaking weather seal.
So now I have something to try ... yea! love forums, thanks to the OP

Wouldn’t a silicone calk be better than a latex calk for durability?
