Mine is plug-in. I also cannot change that. The co-op presets some things before they give it to you.
Mine is grayed out when the ChargePoint is connected to the car.

my CP charger at home is giving me 9.2kwh consistently when set at 50A
Good to know. I'm going to have to experiment more to see if the charger is having a problem or if the car is doing something strange.

I don't think you're getting 11kW at 40A lol. That would mean voltage of 275V+. At 48A with a 60A breaker I would believe that.
Thanks all. I have a 60A breaker w CP set at 40A. My app showed a charging rate of around 9 kw. Just looked at the chart again. 65kwh in 9 hours. Got me to 90%.

If you're hardwired you can set it to 48A with that 60A breaker assuming its a flex.

As a follow-up to my original post: It turned out that the CP charger was the problem. A factory reset fixed the issue, and the Mach-E is now charging at 9kW. Thanks to all of you for your knowledge and assistance. BTW, the lady at CP who helped me was both knowledgeable and very friendly. Kind of refreshing!!

I always thought the vehicle controls the charging rate. The closer it gets to full the slower it charges.

Is there away to tell the mach e what rate I want it to charge at?

If you have a NEMA 14-50 receptacle, you shouldn't be using a 60A breaker.
if it is a plug in what breaker should i be using? I am on a 60a and my charging seems very low. I only got 35.45 kWh over a 9h52m period of time.

What did you set in the app?

As the General stated, the "50" in 14-50 means 50A max.

It should also be noted that the breaker size will not affect your charging rate (unless it trips!).

Without more information (what EVSE you have, state of charge before/after, was the car actually charging the entire time....) it's hard to be more specific.
