Booo! Who wants to go through a 12 step process to get 10 seconds of boost instead?

Booo I say!
Haha. I don’t think the Serenity prayer is needed to engage full send in the Blazer SS EV. There may or may not be a process to allow a full launch mode, but, it’s looking like the regular mode could still provide 450ish of the 557 total HP. Not sure if I saw that on the gmauthority website or another location otherwise I’d link it. We shall see.

Dealer is saying reservation conversions may begin late this month from what they heard.

I heard Ford is looking to announce that 99.9963152402% of 2021 owners will have frunk access via the FordPass app by early May.

Based on my math, with 27,140 2021 MMEs sold that means some poor, unlucky owner is still going to be SOL. Which must really sting. I mean, that's the kind of thing you could carry a grudge about.

;)

BC 1.2 is going to be big time news.
I doubt they'll mention it. I imagine when it's rolled out there will be 0 indication of it on the release notes. Instead they will call out the fact that they added a new snake game to the Sync system and maybe throw in a "less uh-ohs" joke in there somewhere.

I'm really looking forward to the snake game.

Plenty of time to be disappointed still.

Nobody was expecting a 5 sec limit and steep drop in hp for the Mach E GT before it came out either.

At least with the SS GM is only saying “under 4” for the 0-60, already explaining that full HP will be limited, and we know the painstaking process Hummer owners go through to get that power.

So easier to start with lower expectations for the SS.

I agree - nothing big happening.

The next "big" things for forum community I'd expect are:
  • BC 1.2 rolling out - summer
  • Production ramping up - summer... how nice not to wait a year.
  • More price shocks from Tesla
  • First LFP batteries hit the street - summer
  • 24 MME facelift - summer
Um, yah all of this stuff :p Oh and no way talk about GM's new EVs don't creep into our discussions. We need to come up with a prize for the fist posted photo of an Equinox or Blazer EV in the wild. CA folks have to give the rest of us at least a month after your first sighting ?

Honestly, I have no idea what to expect this year. As far as the IRA, BEVs and so on go, the world has gone Bat S crazy. I'm going to fill my frunk with popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

I also predict that Mach-E owners will be recognized as the coolest people on earth and monuments will be built in our honor.

It is amazing to me that the first MMEs will be nearly 3 years old before GM ships ultium cars in meaningful volume.

~Dec 2020 first MMEs shipped

~late 2023 ultium production (lyriq is trickling out but in tiny numbers, thinking of the blazer here)

I know GM has the Bolt but the fact above still makes me feel like Ford got the true head start. Especially when you factor in people have Lightnings in their garages and driveways already.
