Why doesn't any other BMW EV, VW EV, polestar 2 or any other EV that has an IPC it doesn't buzz.

It's because the type of electronics they used or the way they manufactured it. I legit don't understand the apologists for Ford and if anyone can actually explain why they want to apologize for Ford I'd love to hear it.
Agree. I don’t get the apologists, either. But again, PROVE US WRONG. Let’s see a video of these “silent” driver screens! Copy the format of the video I posted above.

I have seen plenty of videos of the buzz - I made one myself. So I am also interested in seeing some videos of no buzz. I’m still skeptical this is the case, but that would actually be a good thing, because it would be further proof that the screen buzz is NOT a “normal operating characteristic” as stated in Ford’s “eff you” SSM.
A video with no buzz would be useful to people experiencing this problem because it can show to dealers that some (our) cars are doing it excessively and might help get the driver display replaced.

At the very least, I’m sure Ford will be working to revise this issue going forward even if it will not warranty prior builds. When this switch happens would still be good to know so that we can find out if a fix is available if we want to pay out of pocket for a replacement if Ford won’t do it.

I’m sure people who don’t have their Mach-Es would also be interested in seeing when a fix is implemented. Plainly, at this point, however widespread this problem really is, it’s more than just two or three people complaining about it.

So an interesting thing I noticed. In some of those videos I'm like WOW MINE SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE THAT. I hear it but only if the radio and AC is off, not loud like that. So I recorded mine. It is MUCH louder in the video when I record it by the steering wheel cameras. Must be the auto gain on the mic. My sound in real life is more akin to recording from the mustang logo on the front of the wheel

Ok, here’s a video of turning on the hazards with the car totally, completely powered down. Absolutely NO sound but the click of the hazards.
EDIT: I stand corrected. While the hum was not audible in the vehicle, there is a slight hum every time the hazards come on, as you hear in the video. I’m the vehicle, this hum was not noticeable (and my hearing IS pretty good according to the audiology test I just took at work a couple of months ago).

so, go figure. ?‍♂
Not something I’m going to demand Ford replace a $3,000 part over. I’d rather they deal with other issues, like getting the front trunk to open electronically.

Thanks for the post! I hear the buzz from the screen in that video.

What I hear is that every time the screen comes on, there's the buzz of the screen and the click of the hazard light signal.

Ford has used LCD displays in vehicles for years. It’s interesting that this has only shown up now, and only in the Mustang Mach E? Where have all the irate Lincoln owners been?

See my edited post ? I did not listen to my video until AFTER I posted ?

I think your high voltage battery pack might have a leak

To be honest, the low-frequency drone from an ICE engine is not nearly as irritating as a hight-pitched noise from our screens.

Well I don’t like the fact they are trying to reproduce the sound. I like BEV being producing only that natural electric motor sounds.

Good grief! You should file a class action suit and DEMAND that Ford rip out that horrible defective noisemaker in front and replace it with the drivetrain from a Focus Electric ???
Actually, Ford should offer that as an optional low speed pedestrian alert sound for us! I’d definitely use it sometimes just for fun!
