Lack of examples of non-existence do not constitute proof that a thing exists in all circumstances. Do you also believe all doors are misaligned because one person posted a misaligned door, and no one else posted a video of a door that opens without issues?
While you are technically correct, the anecdotal evidence on the driver display noise issue is building and is very easy to prove or disprove, unlike say the 12v issue. Are there a handful of Mach-Es with bad 12Vs, is it an inverter issue, something else? We don’t know and no easy way to test it.

The driver display issue is different in that it is very easy to test. Someone would just need to post a 10 second video of their driver display on and not making noise. This has not happened while sadly, we’ve gotten quite a bit of objective proof (not subjective reports) of the issue occuring.

With such a small numbers of delivery so far, there's already so many issues, seems the percentage is way too high?!
12v battery dead;
noise from the screen;
reduced speed on the road ( drive unit fail?)
PAAK not working properly;
charging speed on EA;

This really make me hesitate should I go with MME or should I wait, even after all the delay, Ford still have lots of HW and SW problems to be solved.
I think it's just the nature of being an early adopter really. You're one of the ways that kinks get ironed out. I'm not super comfortable with being an early adopter for that reason but my spouse is, so we even each other out :). But I guess you need to determine if you're ok being an early adopter.

I have this car and driven 600+ miles and don't have a buzzing issue. My main complaint is specifically with the phone as a key. It does not work well on Android 11 (samsung s20+). I have issues entering the car, or starting the car. I'm fairly certain the Android Auto issue is all related . Its really annoying yes. to say 100%, I don't think so, as mine is an example.
Paak has the same issues with our iPhones (one is latest 2020 model, the other older.)

Here is the video from mine. A few other people have posted in this thread. If you wouldn't mind, could you please record a short video of your driver display, getting close up to it with your phone and posting it?
1)- You're NOT crazy. I can definitely hear a whine noise when I put my ear almost up against the top of the steering wheel. That's with no radio. HVAC off (Although you can still hear it with the HVAC on) and not driving.

2)- Yes you're very sensitive. I either never noticed it or it never bothered me until you said something.

To me, this is being unrealistic in expectations. Kind of like complaining about the chatter a DI engine makes at idle. (Which I think is annoying, but accept it as a part of life)

I guess I can add another benefit of being a child of the Walkman generation:

1)- Can't hear the MME dash whine
2)- Selective wife hearing excuse

Will 15 seconds do?

The only noise I hear in that is the HVAC fans....

Has your wife ever tried to rectify the 2nd problem? Just curious...my wife and children complain about my hearing quite often :p

Thanks for posting this Jamie. I hate to say it, but I am hearing it on this video too.

It is not the big display in the center doing it, it is the small driver display from behind the steering wheel.

I think the reason we see so many different responses is that the amount of noise is different from car to car. Some of the videos I have seen on here, its VERY noticeable. However, on my car, I didn't notice it until I specifically went out to listen for it. In the garage, with everything in the car Off. Its there, just nowhere near as loud as the videos on here.

If there happens to be a fix for it, i'll have it done. But in my instance, it not bad enough for me to start making a stink about it with Ford.

Thank you. Could you please post a short video with your phone of the driver display while it is on?

I and others experiencing this issue would like nothing more than to be able to go to our dealers and say ‘see, it’s not normal, here is an example of a Mach-E with a driver display that is as quiet as the center display’.

You would be helping us out a lot!
Seconded. Both Mach-Es I've sat in buzz. It's incredibly noticeable. I would love to hear one that doesn't.

LOL I don't hear a thing in my car; perhaps you're willing yourself to hear it. I even cranked the volume on the video to see if I could hear it...nope.

(No one that has ridden in my car has heard it either.)

I can post a video from behind the dash too but the camera was right there making this one.

Note that there *is* some noise in the video but that is the HVAC fan.

Add me to the group that is 100% satisfied with their Mach-e. I had PaaK setup issues for the first day, but that somehow worked itself out.

Granted, only 3 days and 250 miles, but no issues as stated by others. No visible quality issues. It's a head turner and I really like everything about it.

I was able to grab an early build dealer stock, VIN 01952. Premium 4X, 30 days before my Premium 4 was to be delivered. I knew I was getting an early build and could face issues, but at the end of the day, it's a car and they'll fix it and work the bugs out.

Comparing years of Tesla builds to the first few thousand ME's is crazy. I think the whole "Quality" war is around the ridiculous Tesla quality issues like the roof flying off.
I'm far from a Tesla apologist, but from my research, it was 2 roofs that fell off (2 too many for my taste). 1 of them wasn't Tesla's fault, it was a third party manufacturer. The second one was Tesla's fault, no doubt about it. However, I'm not sure this would classify as a trend. It's true though, I don't think there can be any argument over who would win the quality battle. Ford has been making cars for over 100 years. It's just disingenuous to make it seem like Teslas are driving around with roofs flying off all over the place.

Youtube "Tesla quality issues". We all know they're out there. These seem more like issues from a new company, which is exactly what the tongue-and-cheek comment from the Ford exec was about.

My personal favorite:

2m50s mark is the worst.

It wouldn't stop me from buying it because I know they work out these issues... Hopefully

I hear a whining noise in the video.... was there not supposed to be one?

I do hear the HVAC, as well, but its less pronounced than the screen whining.

Maybe some people have more sensitive hearing than others? The whine sounds louder than the hvac to me....

Anyone else hearing it in the video? I hope I am not crazy.
