Has this started rolling out to users? We're well into December and it was promised in November. Is there an updated time table?

It was promised? It amazes me that people still put any faith in Ford’s estimated dates for releasing anything.

Pretty sure there’s a different code base for China. I do not know this as a fact, but it’s a reasonable guess.
it is. My Ford birdies told me it was developed by Baidu.

I thought the "promise" such as it is was for Fall 2022. That ends December 21st.

Note: I don't expect anything by then either.

So, I received on November 30th an update of PowerUp. I believe it is 3.5.3. I don't see anything new. But I long for more functionality to the knob!! How/when do I get the Sync update? (Or do I have to set something to receive?). I was plugged in at home in the garage the last couple days straight thru (since charge to 85%). Help me out here, Nerds.

It hasn't been released yet. When it is, Ford will decide when your car will be blessed with the update.

This new version of Sync 4A did release in November, 2023’s have shipped with it. I doubt it will be OTA for the masses for a while though.

I’m sure Ford’s getting ready to deliver it, right after the remote frunk release and BC 1.2 ???

I know this will comes as a shock to some folks, but as you’ve gathered, Ford has OTA issues. :p

I dunno if they have changed their OTA push system but after months and months without anything I’ve been getting updates every single drive and went from several away from BlueCruise to getting Alexa over the course of like 1 week.

they certainly have made some sort of improvement on the back end

Perhaps. On the other hand, we now have three model years on the roads with the 2021s further divided into job 1 cars and job 2 cars. There are people whose cars are stuck in updates for a second time. Those who stil don’t have BlueCruise and those who haven’t even uodarec in months. Yet PowerUps are still be delivered to someone. It would appear that the cars are becoming more divergent instead of the PowerUp’s moving towards a single, or ver few number of, platforms.

I’ve been known to be wrong though.

maybe so. I was in that early 2021 car group with no Blue Cruise and again went 0-to-60 since late November with Updates daily to the car.

here’s hoping this sort of process to ensure updates are delivered successfully can happen for more cars. After nearly 22 months of ownership, I’ve never seen anything quite like it
