I think it's getting dicey if Rivian is going to be able to survive especially if the economy really starts to slow. You'll be more likely to see the Rivian bankruptcy sale.

Yeah, forgot about that.Don't forget the $7500 tax credit. This is the cheapest Tesla Ys have ever been (though can't remember the discontinued SR msrp). Model 3s were actually $35k at one point so its still up a bit from their all time low.
She knows what ergonomics are and the lack thereof, very good.I ordered my Wife’s Mach-E on 3/11/22, still stuck in limbo, started building it on 12/19 hasn’t finished production. When I saw that Tesla had done this, I showed her a $54,990 Y. After tax credits it would 6k less than what we are to pay for premium SR. She looked it it, looked at me and said “I don’t care if that Tesla is 20k less and can do zero-60 in 4.8 sec. It’s ugly the dashboard is not ergonomic, and the brand is pretentious.”
Guess we will continue to wait. It’s her car. I think I’m with her though.
This says it all with the price changes! That's the only part of your post that really matters. The rest is you trying to sound smart, which you are, btw. I agree with the points. But since you mentioned facts:

They needed to adjust to meet IRA anyway and they have the room that others don't.
Still sucks for MME and the IRA we would not buy our MME today without $7500 on table.
That’s what the 21 Premium ERs AWDs were with all incentives, (options rebate , tax credit free wall charger). etc….Wow. So now a Y LR with tax credit is under $46k? I’m not a big Tesla guy, but that seems like a pretty good deal.
For kids AND his 10 or so kids. ?This is not to excuse Elon for his behavior, and he should recognize how he needs to be a better role model for kids (and us all).
Yup. With price protection it was as recent as 6 months ago... Ah I miss those days. That’s what the 21 Premium ERs AWDs were with all incentives, (options rebate , tax credit free wall charger). etc….
Unfortunately values are coming down….across all EVs.Yeah, forgot about that.
I would trade in my GTPE right now if I could get 63k for it and If I qualified for the Tax credit.
Manufacturers have historically selected controversial styling for status vehicles (see: Prius, 1st gen Volt, etc.). IE, ugly sells.Looks are subjective. But I don't think a lot of people think that Teslas are "butt ugly." They are generic, but not offensive. Some consider the Model 3 and S as handsome and understated. If they were really ugly, they wouldn't sale as well as they have been. They have sold over 1 million samples worldwide.
As far as Musk antics, other that the fringe left, most people could care less, or unaware of his "antics." Most people do not follow politics.
When it comes down to it, most people have convictions, but those go out the window when face against the harsh reality of higher cost. People vote with their wallets. Pay 20k more for a comparable vehicle because you don't like the CEO? I would wager that 99% of people are not.
Plus doesn't Magna build everything for them? Seems dubiousHow does Fisker have a 14% profit margin? I thought they were barely hanging on.
