Dang brave soul, I'd love to replace our minivan with another BEV but I have family living about 2 hours away. I can *maybe* make a round trip without charge stops (given warm weather) but in an emergency (God forbid) I'd need either more range in batteries or an ICE.We just bought a MY LR. It will replace our ICE mustang so we have a second family-capable car alongside the MME. Prior to the price drop we were considering another Ford BEV (Lightning) or PHEV but this deal is a no-brainer.
The problem I see with that is, teslas are already Jan-Feb delivery, you'd be cutting it close to the deadline with the influx of orders Tesla should be getting. Unless your lucky to live in one of the few Tesla lots and they happen to have your car in stock that is.I just took a look over at the Ioniq 5 subreddit and there are a lot of folks bailing on their orders as well. This is an interesting play, curious to see how this goes for everyone. I'm not sure if quality can keep up with demand when you're still building in inflatable tents, but we'll see!
i literally just turned mine down today. Came in this week. So, if anyone is looking for a 23 GTPE with all options and Grabber Blue, I can match you up with the dealer here in NC. I’m confident that it could be had for MSRP.Funny that my dealer called me yesterday that my 'car' arrived... I am not sure if I want to take delivery now.
Except... Tesla's reduction in cost and COGs optimization was heavily financed by the American Tax Dollar. Can't be a monopoly if there are other companies competing. Now its up to other companies to respond. That's how a free market works.
Drive a LUcid with 500+ miles of range than you should be covered lolDang brave soul, I'd love to replace our minivan with another BEV but I have family living about 2 hours away. And no other companies got bailouts right?Except... Tesla's reduction in cost and COGs optimization was heavily financed by the American Tax Dollar.
Sure, let me tell my boss I need my salary doubled I'm sure he'd be cool with that.Drive a LUcid with 500+ miles of range than you should be covered lol
Don't quote me, because I forget where I heard it, but a White Tesla is produced every 40 seconds.Anyone with a clue could tell you that Tesla owner brand loyalty is the highest, right? Because that’s what defines a cult, loyalty no matter what. Not all Tesla owners are Elon worshippers but many are. Most buyers of other makes can’t name any auto industry CEO.
Let’s all just acknowledge reality, massive price cuts like this don’t occur because of someone’s genius business acumen. They happen when companies are in duress.
Yup, because they have many factories and lines. But from start to finish, each Model 3 takes 10 hours to make. VW takes 30 hours per car.Don't quote me, because I forget where I heard it, but a White Tesla is produced every 40 seconds.
In China, it was reported that a new body in white Model Y is produced every 40 secondsDon't quote me, because I forget where I heard it, but a White Tesla is produced every 40 seconds.
