Those of you that have done your own updates, will ota updates still work in the future or by doing them your self does it get out of sync with the the ota packages and you have to forever update yourself?

My auto updates have picked back up.. i did 1.7.1 myself on FDRS.. 2.1.0 and 2.3.0 came to me OTA

I use a power supply. It can pull over 30 amps.

It is also very clearly indicated it should be done in the screen prompts during updates. I use a battery charger.

Looks like an update for the GWM was posted to FDRS today too. I already applied the OBCC update a few days ago, so I'll update the PCM and GWM over lunch.

How do you get to your 12v so fast? I haven’t done it but I hear it is a pain to get the panels off.

You need to put in some access holes.

1000% should use a power supply. I just was too much of a wuss to take off my panels to access it. So today I did all FDRS updates without a power supply. Battery never fell below 12.7V and after each update would instantly get back to 13.6V. The RFA update was the most nerve racking one as it takes forever, but it still was completely fine and never dipped below the 12.7V. Obviously 100% not recommended!

All of my updates ran the cooling pumps and even with my 30a psu the battery fell to 12.4v at lowest.

My door locks are quirky and sometimes have to open a back door to open a front one. Are those issues fixed in the updates?

Yes, the updates resolved all my issues including PaaK and Fob sometimes not working. At least as of today.

I got the car back Tuesday afternoon, but I have used PaaK every time since and it has worked flawlessly. It was pretty much failing in some way every time I used it before. I even started leaving the house without my Fob hidden in the car! I never thought I would risk that, but it is working so well. Even with my phone in my pocket!

I have not checked for the games as I really don't care about that. If you want, I can look. Where are they found?

It did not update Sync, so no games yet, but it definitely fixed my door quirkiness. It would regular not sense even my fob and I had to spam the door unlock button.

on a positive, I realized our garage at work has everything to do the updates so I don’t need to buy my own. Just need to figure out the power supply, cut the wholes for the power posts and end the quirky issues my GT has. Mostly the PAAK and doors not always unlocking.

You want a power supply, NOT a charger. They are different things.

The cables didn't connect to the supply out of the box. I just cut a notch out of the connector so it was more of a "C" shape instead of "O" and attached to the screw terminals. works fine.
