@Snakebitten you could try to download on a 4g/5g connection so bypass the wifi entirely ? Just to see if the modules download.

I am rarely on this particular thread but do like to visit every once and awhile. Just been reading about modules not completing their updates and/or having to completely reinstall firmware (?) for particular modules. Did this just start happening and is everyone seeing it or just a few? This last week I updated my car plus two other members cars and so far there has been no issues. I have a Win 11 laptop (solely for FDRS) and a Mongoose Ford Plus that I've been using for over 3 years. I will be updating two more members cars this coming week and don't really want to have any issues as I won't have the time to reinstall everything if it comes to that so not sure I should even do it.

on my win 11 laptop I only had edge installed and had login issues at first because of the new built in vpn security settings they had In edge, After disabling that it was all fine.

@Snakebitten Have you updated The mongoose drivers and or firmware as it also could be a VCI communication issue.
I forgot about that....but yeah I did that too, and that's when logins got back to normal again for me.

Have you pulled the negative battery terminal? Force a total reboot of the vehicle modules.
I'm going to try this since I just did 2 FDRS updates on the 2022 Powerboost 10 minutes ago without issue.
I know it sounds strange, but it's gotta be the car.
FDRS, the Mongoose, and the laptop work smoothly on everything I use them for except those few updates in the Mach-E queue currently.

So just did the latest APIM (6.14) update. Holy smokes that one took a long time. 10 minutes to download, 32 minutes to copy 6GB to USB. 15 or so with the USB stick hooked up to sync, and then the mandatory 10 minute wait afterwards.

Glad I did the pre-requesite GWM last night.

But now I have the pretty buttons :).

Select the SOBDMC for selftest and make sure the ondemand radio button is selected ( I'm gonna have to get a screenshot of this the next time it happens to me, I keep forgetting to do that).

Run the selftest on the SOBDMC and watch the results at the end...if it says the selftest failed but the DTC was cleared..stop...you're done.

Shut the car off count to 10 and turn it back on and the alert should be gone.

This stupid SOBDMC thing has been going on for over a year now on both my old '21 before I traded it, and now sometimes on my '23 as well. This never happens on the truck.

The fault always says something about Invalid Data from the Gearshift Module...always.

Is there an engineer on the forum?

Thanks Mike, I did the SOBDMC test a few times. I turned the car off and on a few times but I guess it was never long enough, so that fault never cleared.

After typing up my message and coming back to the car the warning lamp was no longer on, and the fault cleared.

Thank you so much!

Not sure if you guys experienced this. I did the BCM update first which was part of the recent 12v management OTA. Afterwards I did the HVAC and RFA. I noticed that during the last two the cooling pump didn't run. I feel like last time I did one of those, or they were being updated using OTA the cooling pump runs and drains the 12v. I wonder if part of the BCM update they changed it to no longer run the pumps to preserve the LVB. Or maybe it's just a coincidence?

Those are on a different network so the coolant pumps don’t always run. Only when the CAN bus for the powertrain modules is shut down.

OK, I pulled the negative cable.
It's been an hour or so while I did other things.
I haven't read what the procedure for "reset" is, so was it a 30 second or a 30 minute or a...procedure?

Ugh, I did the APIM and RFA last night. All went smoothly and I have sleek new icons.
But… I just walked past the car in the garage ( with phone, no FOB). And the rear hatch opened on its own.
Perhaps some gremlins in this latest RFA update?

I should have noticed what the issue was with those 7 stubborn updates that are crashing early in FDRS.

But the guru (Jesse) over on the Gen14 forum spotted it in seconds.
It's on Ford's cloud end, it appears.

The manifest file for each of those updates are failing to be provided, so FDRS is supposed to abort the update if there isn't a manifest file associated with the VIN present.

Forums are awesome

What in the wide wide world?

I can understand one or two errors like that once in a while.....but 7 of them on one car?

Can you call the BEV team and ask them to finger it out?

I doubt very seriously that I would call Ford unless I have exhausted every trick in the book first.
Or put another way, that would be raising the flag of surrender. Lol

I've managed to FIX every single issue that any of the 2021+ Ford's I own without doing so. I'm stubborn as a mule regarding. And I'm not whining, in case it comes across that way. Quite the opposite.

I love the fact that there are now tools and knowledge available for the owner to support their vehicle without being at the mercy of the dealership. It's downright liberating. :)

And I still pinch myself everytime one of these vehicles is improved in some aspect AFTER I took possession of it. I'm well aware of the shortcomings of this new OTA era, and the bumpy start it has gotten off to. But yesterday I was driving my 2012 F150, and other than a TSB flash that the 6R80 transmission received a few years ago, it's EXACTLY the same truck I drove off the lot in 2011.

But my 2022 (Job2) Powerboost is far more polished today than it was just 24 months ago. It certainly didn't come with full screen Android Auto, BC 1.4, Multi-phone support, and the much improved drivability that the multiple ABS/PCM updates eventually afforded.

I'm going after those manifest files! Lol
I'm optimistic to a fault perhaps.
But the best news is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the MachE GTPE at the moment. It's functioning wonderfully. So there's that!

Again, thanks to all you forum gurus that share with us so generously.
