I was just listening to this video presentation by Darran Palmer where he says the frunk "has an automatic drain in the bottom that will drain when it senses water." (around 25:35).

Probably a one-way rubber exhaust port like a purge valve on a mask or snorkel.

Shoots the idea of using it as a punch bowl.

I want to know about the drain tube. Is it long enough to bypass the electronics while driving down the road.

I would hope that watever liquid that comes out of here wouldn't do anything considering the car can drive in the rain and/or through puddles (well I'd hope it can drive through rain and/or puddles and/or snow).

No damage but a Frunk full of rum punch would leave a really sticky film ;)

Maybe the aftermarket will jump into this gap; water pump for fast liquid drainage. (in case of a full frunk in which you have washed your feet....) As you probably know, in the Netherlands we not only have wooden shoes, mills and dikes, but also a lot of water. So indeed in our case a pump will be a godsend, after all you don't want to drive around in a sloshing car ;-)

This reminded me of the Ford Puma which has a "Megabox" which can be hosed through if dirt has accumulated in the trunk. It has a removable plug though!
