Speaking of EA, are their prices mislabeled on their site? They call out the Pass+ as providing a roughly 20 percent discount, but as far as I can tell there's no difference other than the $1 per charge vs $4 per month.

I'm seeing the same thing on their site at the moment. I'm assuming it's a temporary glitch with the site.

As someone who actually uses the EA chargers with a Tesla, they work fine, well the Chademo units that Tesla limits its owners to works fine.

Tesla refuses to provide the CCS adapter to let Tesla owners use the full power 150kw and 350kw chargers, but other than the connector type and lower power, the usage sequence is the same.

I actually enjoy the screen that shows what other cars charge status is at.

On pricing, I end up paying $0.35 kWh for EA and $0.28-$0.31 for Tesla, so very close in end price despite the confusing per minute charging price structure. I suspect that will be the same if Tesla provides the CCS adapter for the 150/350kW EA chargers. Also same with Mach-E at 1235kW.

Key is the Preconditioning of the battery to heat (mostly) or cool (rarely) the batter to accept max charge. Tesla only does this when navigating to Tesla charger. Owners have been asking for "Preconditioning" switch that owners could use for going to non-Tesla chargers but for money reasons, Tesla likes the captive audience. Be interesting to see what Ford will do Preconditioning to public chargers.

Their website is goofed up right now. For many states the PASS+ price is $.70/$.50/$.30 and the regular pricing is $.99/$.69/$.50 IIRC

Wow. Glad I live here. That is RIDICULOUSLY cheap. If I remember correctly when I talked to EA I think they said at the 125 rate it charges 9 miles per minute. If that is the case then the subscription rate would be $15 for 270 miles

It's moving and growing fast!

8 per month added puts us at 486 locations end of year, EA is saying 800 by end of 2021.

I wish they would post "on the map" future locations. We all know there remains "dead" spots that need L3 CCS locations.
