After 34k from the OEMs. I went to Discount Tire 'knowing' I wanted CrossClimate2. I drove off with 4 Bridgestone Alenzas. Sales guy convinced me to go with 255/50/R19 107W XL BSW AS Ultra. Only a few miles so far but does seem quieter.

@JBB_JD thank you for your business, we appreciate your support. Did the salesman utilize the Treadwell program to make a recommendation and the Bridgestone was higher rated?

We did discuss treadwear but not a particular program. He did show me the 5-star customer reviews compared to 4-5 for CrossClimate2. Seems he was part of a recent event north of Atlanta where they ran different tires and Bridgestone's worked well on the EV they were driving.

@JBB_JD that's great that his real world experience helped in the tire recommendation. The ride and drive events that we participate in are critical to showing our employees how tires truly perform.

Make sure you lower the pressure, the higher load rating will wear funny if you inflate to stock PSI. Or just be prepared for the centers to wear faster than stock

Yep 32 psi load range 107 will support 1940lbs
Stock 103 load range 39psi is 1929lbs support

39psi In a load range 107 will support 2149lbs

I will give them some time, and report my impressions and range results.
I've now put 1295 miles on these Hankook ION EVO SUV's 225/55R19. I am inflating them to 41psi cold, just like I did with the original Michelin Primacy A/S tires. I will say that the road noise is very similar between the two. On rough pavement, the sound in the cabin is a slightly different frequency, but the volume is very similar. At speed on the freeway, comparing my extensive experience with the Michelins on the same route and conditions, I believe I have suffered a five percent drop in range. I did not expect a difference this significant.

I have the Hankook ION EVO AS SUV (The all season version) for about 3k miles now. No difference in range compared to the factory Michelins. The Hankook is quieter and smoother than the Michelins.
I do have the AS All Season version of that tire. I'm guessing you have the non AS so summer tire version.

No, I also have the all season Hankooks. They were reported to maybe be better in the snow than the original Michelins, so I thought they might be a safer bet in the mountains. I do a 465 mile round trip on the same route almost every week year round. After almost three years and having made this trip about 100 times in this car, I know what load, wind, temperature, speed, etc. do to my range on this trip, and have a lot of data to draw from. So it seems I'm now approximately 12 miles and 4 or 5% (remaining battery capacity) short of what it had been on each trip up or back, given the same conditions.

By the way, Walnut Creek Ford is the dealer I've been using, and they do have a lot of MME's in stock.

Before you got the Hankooks, did you notice any range loss from the first year to the third year?

Also, the efficiency of the tire might improve after the first few months.

I’m at 49,000 miles. Bought the car in April 2021. There have been seasonal temperature changes throughout. Nighttime trips in the 20’s-30’s, and daytime trips as high as 117. For me, temperature and wind are the biggest variables. When the milder weather returns, the range seems to come back. I can’t say that range loss has been noticeable.

Ha, just read a large number of posts in this thread and I still can't make up my mind about what tire to move to once the stocks wear out. Winters in NH have been getting milder with less snow. I might be better served focusing on wet (rainy) road handling. Leaning towards the Hankook ION EV A/S SUV.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Tire suggestions IMG_3601

I have previously posted in this thread. I replaced my original Michelins with the Hankook ION EVO AS SUV 225/55/19 tires. In my last post, I warned that it seemed that I was experiencing a 4-5% deficit in range relative to the Michelin’s.

It appears my deficit may be even worse than that. Yesterday I completed the drive to my other home, a drive I have done over 100 times on the Michelins, and I carefully tracked my data relative to what I have experienced over the last almost three years.

It was daytime. We started at 100% SOC as always. The car was loaded with the same two people and gear that it always is, the tires were aired to the same 41psi that they alway have been, the ambient temperature was 58-60F, there was no headwind, only a sidewind of 2mph, I drove with cruise control at the same speeds as always, the route was exactly the same as always, traffic was typical. The elevation change on this drive is +150 ft.

I have a waypoint at 140 miles that should have used 52% of my battery. Instead, at 52%, I had only covered 124 miles.
I have another waypoint at 189 miles that should have used 73% of my battery. Instead, at 73%, I had only covered 170 miles.

In my experience with the Michelin tires, these numbers have only been this bad when I have had a headwind of 20+ mph, or if I’m making the drive in 35 degree temperatures.

I know others have said that they have suffered no range loss with the Hankooks, but my loss seems to be around 10% at freeway speeds. I wish I had the Michelins back.

I got the hankooks installed about a month ago... No loss in range and they perform very much better than the stock tires, especially in curvy roads and wet pavement.
Do you think they ride a little better. I think the Michelins are harsh on bumps. Would like something a little smoother.

I am thinking about replacing my original Michelins, 21 premium. I am looking for a softer ride while not losing too much range. Maybe Hankook. I think 5% range lose would be worth a less harsh ride.
