My Dec 20 car was built yesterday, Friday Jan 8. There was a 1 week shutdown at the factory. Lots of threads about building cars and shipping timing.

Thanks! Mine now shows a production date of the 8th as well. Ford tracker still only shows in production and not built, but I'll take any progress!

UK order - How long from order before you can get your VIN, ordered last week - Can’t wait to get now.

I placed my UK Order on 19th Dec, left things due to Xmas etc, then emailed the dealer last week to chase to confirm they have received the order and request the VIN. They have confirmed order and Feb build/June Delivery and given me the full VIN which I can use in the tracker tool.

Oddly my VIN tracker says Receipt date 2020-08-28 which makes me wonder if I have got someones cancelled order?

Yes. Build date 1/24, and the window sticker started showing today in both Chrome and Edge browsers.

So, on another thread, one of our members pointed out the Production Date is shown on your window sticker and I got a date that will go down in history, 1/20/2021.

The date under Special Order is the date your order was sent to the plant. The date below that will change on a regular basis and means nothing.

Those aren't build dates. For reference, my build week was 1/10. My order was sent to the plant on 1/6, and my production date ended up being 1/19.
