Per reviews, the Lyriq is 'bent' in the direction of luxury/comfort, while the MME in the direction of roadability and sportiness. Are you finding this true? I suspect we would all appreciate a longer review and comparison of the two vehicles.

What were your reasons for changing to the Lyriq?
I am always looking for a good deal, and this one became hard to pass up. I was right on the line of turning them down, especially since I really loved my Mach-e. Hopefully, I'll come back to the Mach-e when it has evolved some more.

2022 Premium, AWD, Extended Range, 10K miles.

I agree with anyone who eschews GM because they're dropping CarPlay.
It is a good looking vehicle and the price range for that luxury 2 Wheel Dr. is not that bad price. My only thing I’ve owned Cadillac and I’ve owned a couple of Chevrolets and I just don’t know with some of their electrical problems as far as lights burning out and what not I just never saw them building an electric car General Motors that is.

The Mach-e is definitely more fun to drive. It's more sporty in handling as you suggested.. The Lyriq feels like a bus in comparison. I was surprised at the play in the steering wheel. Luckily there's a setting that adjusts the responsiveness of the steering wheel.

That seems like a fair price - unless they beat you up on the Lyriq end

Someone in my neighborhood just got a Lyriq and it does look like a long vehicle. I read the specs and it appears to have slightly more legroom than the Mach-E. Are you finding that the extra legroom is there? And if so do you feel like it's significant or just barely more?

Interesting. The Silverado EV does have it though, for now. No CarPlay is a. On starter for me.
My understanding is that the 2023 WT (work truck) had CarPlay but the new big battery/big trim 2024 RS do not. I may have the Silverado letter codes wrong as I know little else about them.

Lyriq was about $48.5 (I'll get the State and Federal tax credits, too). Good price, but I know I'll come back to Ford eventually. I've owned 3 trucks and the Mach-e—all dearly loved.

I'm 5' 8". All I know is that the seat goes way back beyond what I need. Not so much legroom in the second row, but it seems about the same as Mach-e. I think the Lyriq is about 11 inches longer than the Mach-e.

Let us know how the Lyric’s frunk works out for you ? in my mind, a positive for the Lyriq is ventilated seats, and a no-go is no frunk.

Ok, I’m not a GM fanboi, but we do have to acknowledge the EV-1. It was ground-breaking for the era and well-loved by people who had them.

That’s a decent price. Used 2023 Lyriqs are wholesaling around high 30s and low 40s which shows you how bad EV depreciation is. It’s a nice ride (test driven twice and declined my 24 order). Too big and also too small for me. Good luck with it!

I’m trying to think back what year it was I was riding motorcycles at the time, I was at the Harley dealer and someone had a white Chevy volt in the parking lot on display and I think I remember them saying they could drive about 700 miles on that it was about $45,000 trying to remember the year but not sure. I thought that was the first one that came out.

Curious year/trim/mileage for $28,500?

As mentioned, I was incorrect and it's a go-forward (in terms of GM not supporting CarPlay) thing ... so yours is one of the final model years that will have it. https://www.motortrend.com/news/gen...-carplay-android-auto-for-safety-tim-babbitt/
You know it's sad because GM is making a horrible move by removing those kinds of features and has nothing to do with safety all the things they claim that are integrated doesn't matter Google stuff isn't great and it's all not great so why not let the customer choose what they want to use Instead of force them into some other silo that makes them have to relearn things and makes it more unsafe because now they have to figure out how to use something they're not familiar with hello hello McFly, your GM guy is an idiot
