Trouble syncing garage door opener

Just received my 2022 premium Mach-e last week after waiting 11 mos. The wait was worth it! Love this car!
Only complaint I have is, that no matter what I've tried, I can't sync the Stang to my garage door opener.
Anybody else having trouble synching with your garage door opener? Better yet, did you figure out what's wrong?

I had a hard time with mine there was me and my son and my 16 y /o
Grandson we wasted an hour jacking with it finally my grandson got it to work he said” you. Old timers just can’t operate computers!! So go get a tech savy teenager!!!!

Depending on your opener, you may have to do a programming cycle where you try it without the handheld, fail, and then have to try again with the handheld to get it to program properly. If you haven’t looked at the manual for your opener (or the MME), pull them down and see what they say.

If you’re a CarPlay person, this has been fantastic by the way. It opens and closes the door with FAR less latency than the MME’s visor buttons: HomeKit Compatible Garage Door Remote

Just an odd thing I noticed. For my car there is a distance from the garage where it seems like the signal is blocked. Lowering the visor or backing up then the garage door signal works. Mentioning this in case you are attempting to sync in your driveway.

Exact same. In the garage is fine, about five feet out of the garage is bad, and at the bottom of the driveway is fine again.

The garage door I got working but I’m having difficulty getting the community gate opener working. I think it’s a rolling code and can’t figure it out

I am also having trouble programming my car with my garage door opener. Of course, my garage opener is ancient.

I had a heck of a time with my 20 year old craftsman brand garage door opener. For me it was a 2 step process: 1. Use and existing opener and have the MME "learn". 2. Hit the button on the opener that tells it a new remote is being programmed, and then hit the button in the MME. Took quite a few tries to figure it out.

I am also having trouble with one of them. At my house we have a Chamberlain door opener and a Lift Master swing gate opener, and had no problems at all programming two (left and middle) of the Home Link buttons in the MME.

I tried programming the third button (right) with the fairly new Genie garage door opener at my parents and for the life of me have not been able to get the opener to recognize when I press the 3rd button in the MachE after pressing the learn button on the Genie.

The Homelink in their Sienna has no problems with any of them.

Just my experience with the ME garage opener...

I have a 2022 ME GT, no issue programming the car to my opener. Issue is, it ONLY works if my ME is inside the garage and outside if the garage door is open. My other 2 cars works fine outside with the door close.

I brought it back to AutoNation Ford, they were on top of it, and said they will order a new visor electronics and replaced it. They were not sure if it will fix it, but got the part relatively quick, they replaced it but when I got home, same issue.

Notified AutoNation and they said they will open/escalate this to Ford and will call me back. That was about 4 weeks ago. Not expecting a quick resolution.

Now my ME opener will sometimes work when I move the visor down and tried differently angles but it is not consistent. Again, it works fine when the ME is inside the garage and I have to open it!

Go figure....

I thought you press the 3rd button and then press the garage door opener remote and then after it changes flashes (the visor light, that is), you press the learn button the Genie?
