This is my own opinion after seeing and riding in each of these vehicles. Kinda like the Doug score but I added road trip as a factor. For frunk score, if no frunk 0 small storage 1 and bigger 2.

Let me know your own scores and what you think. I have enjoyed all the different BEV and Hope you all are enjoying the transformation from ICE to BEV.

Very cool! Which ones have/will have the Cadillac SuperCruise like advanced driver assist functionality (Ford Mustang Mach E, the Teslas, the Chevy Bolt EUV, any others?) that’s a key discriminator for me.

So you think that overall it’s just as easy to public charge a MME as a Tesla? Because that’s effectively what you’re saying: the charging experience isn’t worth evaluating because it’s a wash. But I think we all know that isn’t true.

Hard to fault him for leaving it off because charging isn't exactly part of the car. And in different periods and in different places it might be easier or harder to charge. You say that it's easier to use the Tesla charging network. That may be true at the moment but in the not so distant past Tesla chargers were impossible to use because the offer of "free" charging resulted in super long lines. Should the cars have been dinged for this? VW is offering free charging with the EA network. If that results in long lines at EA charging stations should the MME be downgraded? Or take Rivian. if Rivian rolls out DC charging near wilderness areas does this make a Rivian R1T better than a Cybertruck?

The point would be that once you start considering things which aren't directly related to the vehicle it becomes hard to draw lines.

well, the taycan has the record now for the cannonball run. That is on EA so would that mean tesla chargers are not as good?

again it is showing time and time again its working fine just without the handshake yet. the model y and 3 launched with many problems and charging problems. If ford can't get it to work in a couple more months then yes maybe I will change something. But even the id4 is not using handshake yet.

tell you what If I do add some points to tesla for charging I will make sure to take them away for dealer availability and problem fixing like this.

Agreed! Just took a test drive for fun. There was a raised hard plastic seam on the grip area of the door pulls that scraped my palm. Both passenger and driver sides.

Super cool spreadsheet. Very thorough and I agree with nearly all of your subjective rankings ... except for one. Scoring the Model 3 styling equal to the Y is highly questionable. The 3 is to my eyes a truly beautiful sedan. Compact, swoopy, great stance, clean and distinctive. The Y is awkward looking. Top heavy and too droopy in the nose. The issue if you up the 3's score is ... it could tie (or beat!) the Mach-E. A big no-no!

Agree with others that cool factor for the MME needs to be bumped way up. I've never had more people stop me at red lights, in parking lots, at charging stations- all to ask about the car. The sheer fact that this is Ford's first ever mustang suv - let alone an electric vehicle- is enough to raise eyebrows everywhere you drive it. I think at least for this model year the mme should get the highest possible cool points, with declining values in later years as it becomes more common in the market.
