lol....this is my question....nothing in the cabin to release the hatch? If so, that is a head-scratcher....?

Also comical...I was searching the owners manual in the center screen, and entered "Home Link".... no search results found! Enter "garage door", and the first thing that popped up was Home Link info.... ??

Perhaps you should have tried “HomeLink” instead. ??

Judging by the number of posts on the forum asking where the trunk button is, I'd say not so obvious.

What will really blow your mind is pre-pandemic models you can wave your foot under the trunk and it will close.
