Correct. What I'm pointing out is that those "supply issues emerged" long after the pandemic began in 2019. Consequently, kick-to-open was not deleted until some time in 2022. We can let AtomicInternet slide on calling the 2021 cars "pre-pandemic', even though, yes, technically, people were getting sick in Wuhan before those cars got delivered to customers.All auto manufacturers, both pre pandemic and into the pandemic, practiced just in time parts procurement and delivery. This minimized warehousing and associated costs. It was a flaw when supply issues emerged during the pandemic. Currently, many manufacturers (in general) are preordering parts and stockpiling as many as they can afford and get in anticipation of additional tariffs. Aircraft out of China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Malaysia are chock full.
