Before everyone starts with the OTA FOMO…. there was a post on the FordPass Community website this week about updates. (Link)

The 2023 models are getting a series of updates over the next few days/weeks. That’s why we’re seeing 5.x series updates.

Ford UK have said that the 2021 & 2022 vehicles will also be getting some updates Soon™ (these presumably will be the remainder of the 4.x series updates with the new UI) but they are big updates that are causing delays with the packaging.

Can anyone recommend a good dealer in the Liverpool / Merseyside region? I have the door fault message and also want to get the car looked at as I have never received an OTA update. I have paid a dealer on the other side of the country to update the car with all available updates but I feel this should be fixed by Ford itself.

From 4.41 onwards. The traffic behind me would have been peppered with stones as well. I kept well back from the vehicles in front although it didn't do me any good in the end. I would estimate that 99% of vehicles were sticking to the temporary speed limit. This road had only been "resurfaced" the night before.

Openpilot is an ADAS similar to blue cruise (but allegedly much better) the company was founded several years ago by George Hotz who was the teenager who first jailbrole the iPhone. Anyway its very capable for autonomous driving - with no subscription fees after you've bought the hardware needed. Sounds like installing it is challenging but certainly worth knowing about

Yes, it sounds very impressive. My only concern is that I’m not sure any insurance company in the UK would cover you if you mentioned you had modified your vehicle to use it. If you didn’t mention it to them then you almost certainly wouldn’t be covered in an accident. Also, the Ford Mach-E is currently the only vehicle approved by UK authorities to allow hands-free driving.
