Interesting way more ER that I would have thought!! The 10K GBP premium over SR AWD was too much for me and out biggest trip usually is 220 miles (which I guess will require a top up at motorway speeds).

I really hope mine doesn't go Antwerp to Southampton, but rather Antwerp to Dublin/Belfast. We are having issues getting stuff from the main land at the moment at work.

Just had a look at Grimaldi's schedule and, sorry, but there aren't any sailings from Antwerp to Belfast/Dublin. I would hazard a guess and say that your car will go to Southampton and then by road to Liverpool and across to Belfast from there.

Do Ford only use Grimaldi for overseas shipping, or do they possibly also use Hoegh and other companies sailing over the atlantic?

Also for those still looking into home chargers, if you're with NatWest they are doing discounted prices with Octopus energy. I have got in touch with a quote for an EO mini pro 2, a local company quoted approx £900 so I will update on the NatWest price once I hear back.

https://octopus.energy/natwestpersonal/
Whats the discount from Natwest?

The latest info from my dealer to some questions I had about my AWD ER is;

1. My Mach-E tracker now has my car as “In Transit”. What’s the latest on the delivery time?

Answer = The car has arrived in the port compound of Veracruz in Mexico on the 1st of March and the most up-to-date ETA is 5th of June.

2. The previous Mach-E UK Roadshow had to be cut short because of COVID. When is it starting again so I can finally see the car in the flesh?

Answer = We don't have revised plans for a new roadshow as of yet but as soon as we know, you will!

3. A recent FORD video suggested that Phone As A Key (PAAK) would not be available for right hand drive Mach-Es. Is this correct and will you be providing more conventional keys as a result?

Answer = I will be completely honest with you, I am unsure. I will contact our Dealer Champion team for the Mach-E and they will advise me.

4. Can you please confirm that the Mach-E has the ability for me to track its GPS location if it is stolen and remotely disable the car?

Answer = Again, I will have to refer to the Dealer Champion team for this question, just for reassurance.

Whats the discount from Natwest?
Octopus via the NatWest link have quoted me £545 for the install, and an additional £65 credit if I swtich to Octopus energy after. The next best quote I've had for the same charger is £675

I have no doubt that if the potential extra delay in getting the cars over to the UK was solely down to Brexit red tape then Ford would be shouting it from the rooftops. That’s what most companies have been doing.

The silence from Ford is deafening on all this but until we have some official dates then all we are doing is theorising using very limited information. I suppose it helps pass the time...?
It would be the easiest excuse in the world to blame Brexit but Ford haven't. The fact is, trade is moving between us and the EU and because this car was built outside of the EU, origin rules would have come into place. Ford would have had the RHD cars shipped direct to the UK if there were any clearance or transport issues, not let them fester in Antwerp for 10 weeks. They are desperate to get them delivered and get income in. Im thinking there is either an issue to fix or they under promising and going to over deliver.

I am really happy some of you will be getting your cars soon.

My 2 orders are still not in production. I've actually given up chasing and looking now.

Ford US still won't come back to Rebecca with a feasible answer to my question so I do hope they compensate us day 1 orderers in some way. I highly doubt it though the way we have been treated up to now.

Good luck with the 2 ships en-route!

Just had confirmation that my FE went into production yesterday! Also been told that the next batch of deliveries are leaving on the 20th March. Not sure if that is old news or not, but it’s exciting news for me.

EDIT: It went into production on the 1st March, not yesterday.

Does anyone know when we might see some sort of NCAP results?
