What I don't understand is why has the £3000 reduction been taken off my car ie it has gone up to 51K. Hopefully it is just fords heavy handed IT but if it wasn't for Grahame and his news this morning I would have cancelled. I wonder how many people not in this group have cancelled when the price increased £3k.
It's a perk of membership of this forum that you get the best info!

It's where the "Over 50's" vaccinated people go to work all in the same place, bounce ideas off of each other and can see when other people are talking about them behind their back!
and then there's us lot, the over 50's that have run out of ideas!

Mid 50s here and knackered, nicely primed for the mid life crisis Mache. Although working from home will probably mean Mache to get maccyd and back as my highlight of the day.

My excellent dealer just for back to me re the apparent price increase. This is what he said

Ford have indeed agreed to cover the PICG of £3,000 announced today. They are giving the dealers the money and we pass it on to you. It looks like a discount off the car as you would expect with any other manufacturer offer. Ford are ‘asking’ the Government for a review of the PICG rules to include these earlier orders. If successful Ford will then claim the grant on your behalf.

It’s a win for customers as Ford are giving you the £3,000 in the hope that they can claim it back…………..

With regards to the pricing it’s the September 2020 pricing. As follows

Mach E £49,980

Rapid Red £1,150

Total: £51,130

Ford then pay us the £3000 which we then discount off the car on invoice to you, taking you back to the price that was on you manage your order page. The reason I think this was removed is that when Ford pay dealers ‘marketing payment support’ such as this £3,000 there is VAT involved and I do not believe that their online ordering system is set up for this and they have therefore removed it.

Today’s Vista screen shot below. ANT TRANS sounds a lot like Antwerp to me!

My order page still shows the grant, so don't know why that is. Dealer didn't register the car on the portal before (or now).

My car has now changed to in transit on the 29th, so when is the next boat.

and another good thing out of this for those who are getting this deal....

these cars will be retailing now at the current price which is £3k more, which means driving home with a car which is immediately worth £3k more!

(sorry to hear that the First Editions etc will not get this deal)
I cancelled the order today as the First Editions are effectively devalued now with this grant frig by Ford and not worth buying at £58,000. Along with all the order hassles, delays, dealers not interested, quality issues etc, it’s time to move on to something else. Hope you all enjoy the cars when the finally arrive.
