I still have a few things I can’t sort out if anyone has advice please.
1) FordPass charge network waiting for activation. I think I carried this out at home and not in the car to see the pop up. I have tried to cancel it to restart it.
2) Lane centering is always on when on turn on the car. How can I keep it turned off as default?
3) n the small screen is the blue line to show the distance between cars always there? It’s for the collision detection (that I have switched off).
4) My Ohme home charger shows as being in Reading even though I live in London. Is this a car issue or from the charger?
5) Paak given up with this for now.

Other than that I absolutely love the car. There is something about it that really makes me happy. I have owned a lot of amazing cars (Boxsters, Carreras and a Macan) and this car is really great.

Some quick answers to your questions…

1) FordPass charging setup is just done via the web and doesn’t need in car activation.

2) It’s always on at startup - just double tap the button on the steering wheel (circled in yellow) to disable it each time you start the car. I also wish there was a default OFF option.

3) The blue bar in front of the car icon in the drivers display is always on unless you disable the “Distance Indication” option Under “Settings” —> “Driver Assistance” —> “Pre-Collision Assistance”

4) Don’t know - others have reported similar issues - but charging locations are accurate for me.

5) PAAK is disabled and unavailable on the Mach-E in the UK (much to everyone’s annoyance)

Hope this helps.

These are a few more differences from North American Mustangs. Lane keep assist remembers its previous on/off state. And we don't have a LIM button because few here seem to give a damn about speed limits.

We're also missing Wrong Way Alerts and some of the other cool stuff that improves safety.

It’s easy for us to forget how customised the European & UK software is to take into account different laws and legislation. Still makes me laugh though when I find a little US specific option buried deep in the menus. The devs missed one or two Sirius XM Radio options and left them in.

So if you don’t have a LIM button - what do you have in it’s place?
[EDIT - I just found a photo of a US steering wheel - so you guys just have a really big chunky cruise control button! ]

The Intelligent Speed Limiter functions are due to become law here in the next year or so, so while all the finer details are still being finalised some manufacturers like Ford are obvs getting ahead of the game and including them now.

Have read your post with interest - have you got the zappi to work with schedules when the car goes to sleep - I cannot get any of the car charging schedules to work either I must be doing something wrong as I keep getting charge delayed unless I turn the car on after I plug in - can you help at all
Hello mate. So I’ve not used the charge schedule via the zappi, only the car… which works fine, so long as you have a max charge level set that you will be reached within the charge schedule. If not it will ignore the schedule and charge outside of time to reach desired charge.

One thing to consider with the Zappi is what schedule time and setting you have it on. If you’re charging at night, you’ll have to be set to Fast charge, as Eco and Eco + will need something coming from the solar. So no sun and it’s not going give any charge at night. Otherwise I’ve not tried a schedule via Zappi… I can give it a go tonight and see what happens.

I had the same problem with the FordPass charge Network showing as Activation Pending.

I emailed the FordPass team at: [email protected]. They said to make sure
It was activated via website rather than App but that’s what I did.

They activated it for me after a couple of emails.?

Good morning all, just a bit of info the Zappi Charger when left in Eco or Eco+ modes is for all intents and purposes in 'standby mode' ready to charge in Fast Mode (7kW or lower if set) when no PV available.

For the example shown below the the Schedule shows the car set to charge at 00:30 to 4:30 (ie 4hrs on Oct/Go) every day & one charge on Tues 16:00 for 1hr with the Zappi set to Eco+.

The Zappi will still charge the car at all other times using any spare PV available.

There are lots of other details/features with this charger too many for this forum so if you are interested just check the Myenergy site if you wish to do so or if I can help just post or PM me.

Hi @Wonky_Donkey

That's interesting re: the lane keep always being on at startup ..... I had assumed I just hadn't "saved" my profile with it set off, and was going to try that this morning - so you've saved me the effort ?

I see you've nearly clocked up 2,000 miles - will you be giving us a 2K review ??

Hope you're well and enjoying the car ?

Hiya

Yes nearly at 2000 miles and still loving it! :)

I’m still here on the forum every day though - lurking in the background to answer any questions I can help with.

I also did a thing with my local Ford Dealership the other week - YouTube stardom awaits! If nothing else it was great fun to spend a day filming. Maybe the video could act as my 2000 mile review LOL

Be kind - this was all very “off the cuff” - I can’t actually bring myself to watch it with the sound on yet!

Hi @Wonky_Donkey I'm not far behind you on the mileage done, nearly 1900 for me and, like you, still enjoying it and having great fun. Glad to hear you finally got around to doing your review for your local dealer. Hurry up and post it. Would love to see it. Enjoyed our road trip to Norfolk so much that we sat down over the weekend and planned the next one. To the Lake District in October. It will be interesting to see if Gridserve have updated their chargers up that way on the M6 by then.
