Stay away from that area "wythenshawe"!
@SteveUk - can you recommend any other DC rapid points in a safer neighbourhood near the airport for @TonyA ?

This is the filtered map list of CCS rapid chargers around Manchester Airport with a user reliability score of 10/10

Instantly, Gridserve charged me £20 for the charge.
The £20 is a pre-authorization on your credit card which they don't take but will show up for 3 or 4 days. They will only take what you charged. I used the Gridserve Electric Forecourt in Braintree and few weeks ago and they did the same there. They had a sign on the charger to say that they would pre-authorize cards with the maximum allowed I'm surprised this wasn't on the charger you used.

Cheers Graham. They have definitely taken the £20 but having since been on their website, they say receipts can take up to 3 days to show.
I’m sure this is the case otherwise and it’s my inexperience here that’s the problem.

looks like I have a trip to Manchester Airport on Saturday, anyone know of a good and reliable EV top up close to the Airport, cheers.
If your journey brings you up the M6 and onto the M56 you could use the new Gridserve fast chargers at Lymm Services.

Apparently they are fantastic.

I will be travelling from Hull to Manchester, I might be able to do the whole journey without a top up but I didn't want to risk it, only having the car for 5 days I haven't built up enough data yet to get an accurate range forecast, by the way I am driving a SR.

Lymm will not be too far out of your way Tony and they are the super fast chargers. ??

Also does anyone know how much it costs to get dents out a door ?
Not taking the p**S here but Aldi has a dent repair kit in the centre isle at the moment.

Not too expensive and did appear to be very comprehensive.

Could be worth a look?

I guess I have to disconnect the battery at lunchtime today. Easier than going to the dealers.

Has the dent broken the paint and/or is there a sharp crease in the metal? If not, any reputable bodyshop will be able to pull out the dent using a glorified rubber sucker thing and you won't be able to tell the difference. I do feel for you. You go out of your way (literally) in a car park to minimise the risk and you get a k*******d parking next to you even in an empty car park. This has happened to me in the past. Perhaps they have to use an adjacent car to be able to park straight in a space?

Sentry mode on a Tesla was one of the considerations for getting a Model Y but a proper 360 degree camera mode on the Mach-e made up my mind. It's a pity Ford can't incorporate a sentry mode/dashcam mode with the existing cameras. If it's hardware dependent I'd even pay in the future for some kind of kit/retrofit. Would be even better if just a software upgrade.

I can confirm that for me the battery disconnect fixed the door lock issue. Took 5 minutes (only remove one plastic panel and use a 10mm spanner.

great stuff! Did you just disconnect and reconnect, or did you leave it disconnected for 30 mins or so?

Is anyone else getting this blue line on their drivers display when using the built in sat nav. I have no idea what it is nor do our friends in the US and presumably nor do Ford as I reported it to the tech guys via Hannah and have not heard anything back. I'm talking about the thicker line, I know what the thin blue line around the car is. It is not there all of the time. Just pops up randomly.

Yep, had this since day one. Flickers on and off for a few seconds, every few minutes when using the navigation.
