You must be crazy wanting to put yourself through all that anguish AGAIN. However I wish you all the best and hope that your experience with this one is better than your current car. I suppose it can't be any worse. Can it????
I think / hope it will be a far more relaxed affair this time round as there isn't the same sense of urgency as it's a like for like replacement. :)

It should also be a much shorter wait this time. The last one took 18 months from pre-order to delivery - this one should be about 6 to 7 months (famous last words LOL)

Mine works both ways. I plug it in at night to charge to 85% and to warm up for 0630 in the morning. Haven’t got a charger at work yet so the car is set as picture to warm up for 1630. I don't have to press the remote start button unless I want to condition outside these times. Although I find it easier to amend these timings.

You have it how I would like it.
Unless I plug it in at work it ignores the scheduled preheat. I resorted to either plugging it in on the granny lead or manually pressing the remote start. Funny how we all have different outcomes but same settings. Has it always been like that with your Mach-E?
The only thing I can think off that maybe effecting it is, on the app it resorts back to Detroit time but is actually UK time.
The postcodes on where are charge are way out too.

Its certainly been like this since the weather has been getting colder. Is your car's time Detroit time as well? Have you tried to delete your app and reinstall? Get in touch with the Fordpass team at [email protected]. If you get a reply you're lucky. My last 3 emails I sent have been deleted as unread and I have NOT had any response. Mind you, that's probably due to the fact that I have been very scathing of the app for the past 5 years. Best of luck

And it continues to be interesting! Switched the car on and it seemed ok (although in nighttime mode) changed that to light and it went to a nice bright screen, not the muddy POS it was earlier, despite restarting a few times. The brightness control by the lightswitch only works on the drivers display I discovered.

These cars seem to be a living creature- always changing to entertain you!
Well that didn't last. Started the car earlier and back to dull as dishwater (the centre screen)

I've tried resetting it but no good. Did one reset thatworked. Switched the car off and restarted a minute later and back to dull. No adjustments work. Just about to phone the dealer...

I saw a post from Ford....so dont shoot the messenger, saying to turn the headlamps switch and that sorts it out.

Sounds like you have the same issue as @Wonky_Donkey, although he did say that doing a screen reset did bring his back.
waited a few mins, went back out to the car and switched it on. The screen came back to life but very dull. The brightness control has no affect. Tried the headlamp switch mentioned above but no-go. Switched off and left it for a couple of mins.

Screen still dull so did a screen reboot using the volume down and right arrow button, both held for a few seconds. The screen went off, and still holding the steering wheel buttons it came back on- nice and bright! left it to run for a minute then switched off the car and back on again. Did this a few times and the screen seems to be ok. I'll try again later.

Nearly an hour later and still ok. I've re-done my proffile (probably wasting my time! I'll go outside and test it later.

It is crazy how different cars have different quirks! I just spoke to the Mach e customer service team and Connor (very helpful) said there should be a new app update coming to iOS in the next few days and is hopeful it will resolve it.

Sounds like you've been having a fun day! Can fully sympathise where screen issues are concerned.

The SYNC reset (using steering wheel buttons) has always been the most effective method of getting things back to normal for me, and is pretty non destructive as far as saved settings etc are concerned.

Your issues do sound a little different to mine though, as mine just dies in a certain set of conditions. I'm sure I've read other posts on here where others have had identical issues to you, and they were all "1.7.1 update in progress" related.

Worst case I guess is a return to the dealership for some diagnostics. I truly hope that you don't need a hardware replacement as there seems to be quite a bit of a wait for the necessary parts.

So far so good- I check it every hour and it's holding up so fingers crossed. (4 hours now which is a record)

The other issue is the dash cam I ordered (and paid for) when I did the paperwork for the car in August (the car was delivered 010921.)

It's taken 3 attempts now to get it fitted. It would seem it's not compatible with sync4 (ie Mach-E) and Ford tech and Ford UK have no answers. I'm going to ask for a refund in a few days- my dealers are pulling their hair out trying to resolve this. I'm not blaming them as they are really taking this seriously. They have been let down by Ford UK- where have I heard that before?

Been looking at Nextbase dash cams. Had a dealer fitted one in my 'old' Toyota C-HR. Very good. Nextbase offer their own mobile fitting service. Just waiting to find out if they can deal with a Mach-E. The cost is surprisingly reasonable (£69.00)

More news as and when!
