On mine its when a Satnav destination has been set and passing / at a required Motorway turnoff junction. Indeed it actually reduces in length when you get to it.
That's what I was told but mine came on when I was on a single carriageway road with no turn offs. I'm really glad mine has stopped. It was very annoying

That is the worst UI design ever if not a single person has any firm ideas what it is after 6 months in the wild.

I even queried it with Hannah, who queried it with the Tech team, I even sent them a screen shot of the line, and none of them had any idea what it was or for.

I had those updates 10 days ago...

Let's just say that every time you start the car be prepared for something new to be not right, or odd...

But- it's getting better and improving by the day. Does it learn I wonder? Nothing yet has stopped me from enjoying the car, just curious as to what is going to happen next!

I’m seriously considering not having this done.

As the letter says, it is safe to continue driving, and can be done at a time convenient to me. It’s convenient when I sell it. My dealer is 60 miles away. I have a dashcam that’s wired in to the overhead light thing, and do not wish to remove all of that.

Im also worried that “It‘ll never go back in right”.

I’ve already updated my software as I have an FDRS subscription so really tempted to ignore, and the dealer can get it done when I trade it in in a couple of years.

I haven't had any recall email or contact. I would like the software updates however.

I’m thinking the same thing. I’d rather get it done when I need to. If I get a chip on the windscreen I’ll get it done. I’ve not had half the issues that everyone else has had. I don’t want to create any.

Not sure about the classification of this recall but I believe ignoring a safety recall can invalidate your car insurance.
