It was 47p last week, but is 57p this week! It's really handy though as my Mum is having Chemo at Addenbrookes Hostpital and it's a mile away, so I can drop her and go and top up.
With the SuperChargers it depends what time you plug in…

Hey all,

Anyone else currently trying to track an existing order and having no luck?

According to my dealership, it was build on Nov 5th. But since then the updates I have had said at dealership early February, and now latest update is end of February.

If I check tracker, it still doesn't say shipped even though build completed more than a month ago.

I tried the whereismymme site and it says the same thing....gate released and build on 5th November.. hasn't moved since then.

Do they just store them in a compound in mexico until they have X amount ready to load onto a ship?

I fear come January when I get my next update from the dealership, it will be delayed again.

Hi Alan

Just to manage your expectations - I’d say from experience that anything around 3 months from build to arrival in UK is considered fast. Dealer ETA‘s are normally all over the place and subject to very frequent change.

Shipping times can vary depending on schedules, but the actual voyage alone is around 3-4 weeks if it takes the normal route from Mexico up along the East Coast of USA, then across to Antwerp to be offloaded and passed through customs. The voyage includes many port stops along the way as the car carriers are picking up and dropping off multiple vehicle types from multiple manufacturers. You’ll also have to factor Christmas & New Year Holidays into all that as well.

One final thing is that a lot of the tracking data you’ll see on sites is delayed and isn’t in real time. A car can be loaded on a ship and half way here before it shows with a status of “SHIPPED”.

Let‘s just say that an early Spring delivery looks most likely for your pony ☺

Thanks for the quick response! I suspected as much!

I suppose the silver lining is if it's March onwards, I can get a newer reg :)

And then you have to factor in the delivery from Dagenham to dealer. That seem to be taking the longest at the moment. My dealer has got cars there waiting to be delivered (1 x MME + other cars) that seem to be taking up to 3 weeks. They seem to be waiting until they get a full transporter load to a dealer before they deliver.

Wish we had heated screen wash nozzles. Mine are blocked even with -5C screen wash. Reading -3C at the moment. Unfortunately the car is in the shade at this time of year. Any suggestions for unclogging as the spray pattern indicates a fan spray.

Up the concentration of the screen wash, I've experienced similar temperatures and not had a problem with them being frozen, so far at least. Instead of unblocking, maybe place a small microwavable heat pad on them for a minute or two.

Alternatively see if you can knit some little nipple warmers!

Don't wish to upset you but there is a guy in the US who ordered his car on the 8th January who picked it up on Saturday. In theory it should be quicker over there as it is mostly transported by train from Mexico. Mine, and @Wonky_Donkey's 1st car, were built on Dec 9 2020 and we both picked them up on 26 May 2021.

Pick up my 2022 RWD ER Dark Matter Grey tomorrow after a 1yr 4day wait!!! Cannot wait!! Fitted with hand controls for a bilateral below knee amputee.

Any tips n tricks to keep me on the straight n narrow!
Welcome to the forum and welcome to the Ford Mustang Mach E.

That's an amazing wait of 1 year and 4 days to get your car. You must be a really patient person!

With hand controls fitted I am interested to know if you will be able to do 1-Pedal Drive. Obviously when you apply the brake "pedal" you will activate regenerative braking but will just easing off on your hand throttle allow you to use 1-Pedal Drive?

Again, a warm welcome to you and, as Liv always says on the MachE Vlog, "enjoy the ride".

Oh Jonno2, woe is me as well! I share your pain brother Machster. Not a good Mach-e day. £53.5k’s worth of car built for the UK and it’s climate, is kept warm in garage all night every night and repays me by inability to conform to the basic legal requirement of the C&U Regs after just 10 miles from home when washers freeze. No heat coming up from under bonnet don’t help, and no heated washers caps it off. C & U say “Every wiper and washer fitted in accordance with this regulation shall AT ALL TIMES while a vehicle is being used on a road be MAINTAINED in efficient working order and be properly adjusted.” So to conform and “maintain” I have to suck the ice off the jets every 10 miles,??‍♂ Halfords berry flavoured screen wash is tempting, though, should I add vodka? Anybody crocheted nipple warmers yet I wonder??‍♂ if so pls send me your pattern ?

AND this car, ER RWD returned only 195 range today so only needed c95% more to reach the 379 [im]possible range ??‍♂ I know it’s cold, and I cane it, and it carries a load, and I don’t drive with a rug around my legs but this?

I wonder what strength screenwash the electric car reviewer YouTuber Bjorn Nyland uses in Norway? Probably something we can't even get over here. I've found I've got a joint pad thing that's heated up in the microwave so I'll have a go at that today. I wonder what our Canadian peeps do?

Had fun at the Services last night, love this time of year when everyone's EV drops range and so all want to charge at the same time... hours wait and then a slower fast charge meant a 2 hour stop. The EV niceties straight out the window, in the summer it's "Oh you first, no you first"...winter it's "Right we'll there is no actual queuing system and I only need 50 miles, so tough".... seems I now know what the Emergency Stop is for, as soon as she disappeared into the Services, the bloke waiting hit it and let out a cackling laugh!

Actually sat there and watched a Tesla T*at trying to plug into the slow charger on Gridserve, stopping the car on fast charge so he could connect for his 7kw charge....

5 people queuing at one stage for 4 chargers....never mind, back up to 14 degrees and 11 overnight Monday so all back to normal.

Also went for the -18 screenwash, smells nice when it actually comes out of the washer, which is never! Had a 2 litre bottle of water to splash on whilst driving, nice car but Volvo have a winter pack of heated screenwash and nozzles, why can't Ford.

Lastly, off to have 4 Cross Climate tyres fitted today, 2 on my rear are illegal after 40000 miles, look ok from outside but centre wear is bad, so keep an eye on those peeps.
