Just out of interest, has anyone been caught out with the Adaptive Cruise Control & Speed Camera?

My Scenario is that there was a speed camera attatched to a sign on motorway where the limit was dropped from 60 to 50, however the car only slows down when it sees the sign (basically as it passes the sign) so although the car was slowing, I got flashed By the camera.

Assuming legally I dont have a leg to stand on, but wondered how others have faired.

I never use it as mine often reads incorrect speed limits - sometimes it picks up the 20mph signs on side roads, coming out of a certain M6 services heading north it consistiently thinks the speed limit is 100mph.
But coming back to your issue. I have a suspiction that they do not fine you at the first sign when there has been a change in speed limit

The A3 in/out of London is horrible for this, it's 50 mph limit with a few cameras but I've had the car screech down to 20 mph without warning as there are loads of residential side roads branching off. Scary that Gov wanted this tech to be mandated to be On by default at one point.

The technology has to be more reliable before being mandated to on by default. As with a lot of government decisions this has not been fully thought through  I wonder if the experts at Thatcham would have (or had) any input into the decision. The most likely scenario is that any experts would not have been consulted (or ignored anyway) and Ministers want to go their own sweet way and "make their mark". (This is any political party by the way).

I read somewhere that research is now being conducted in the USA (where else?) into the effect of driver assistance systems such as collision assist, auto speed adjustment etc on accident causation and I can see some accidents might be caused or at least contributed to by such systems; fairly often I, too, experience the brakes applying themselves for speed limit changes that donā€™t exist or even worse brakes hammering on as hard as hard when the collision assist mis-interprets a car parked off to the left that Iā€™m aiming around in good time as a hazard Iā€™m about to hit. The shock to me and the poor terrified driver behind of the car braking sharp is one thing but wifey screaming, over-reacting as she does even if the car drives over an uneven road surface, and having then to explain every single bloody time it happens why the car does that drives me insane.

That caught me out a few times and it nearly caused collisions so I've turned it off, still get the dramatic warning (like a nuclear attack warning, red flashing, noise...) but I no longer auto brake half way across roundabouts!

So, my rear wash wiper is not working, no pump noise so I think to myself 'I'll change the fuse'. Good old Mach E, never one to make anything easy! Just watched the video on Youtube about how to change a fuse, which involves removing the Frunk covers and box (10mm socket required for 6 screws) so much faffing about and it's raining as well. Why would they make it so hard, every other car I've ever had has had easily accessible fuses? Sod that, I'll bang it in the Dealers, they can sort it out, can't see anything out the rear window anyway but if another more important fuse blows then it aint no easy/quick side of the road job, of course it's not..... it's a Mach E!!!

I really DO like a challenge so I thought Iā€™d go and find my fuse box. The body control fuse box is dead easy, yanks cover off under glove box and, presto! There it is! No fuse 71, though. Went to find main fuse box under bonnet. Me finks somebody got here before me, 5 of the 9 spring clips which secure the cover to rear of froot were already broken & missing, got the right side froot cover off and found the fusebox. From there, though, I gave up at the thought of emptying my tools from the froot insert and removing that part. Just who in godā€™s name designed this caršŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø Checking/changing fuses should be the next simplest thing a motorist with no specialist mechanical knowledge should be expected to be able to do beyond checking a light bulb, topping up washer fluid etc and yet itā€™s like undertaking open heart surgery! Dermot Vermin, I feel your pain!! Thinks to self, if anything happens on the road, in the rain, like it would on the hard shoulder of A1, just south of Scotch Corner, needing a fuse change, I should just set fire to it and hitchhike homešŸ˜‚

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the Ford Mustang Mach E.

That's an amazing wait of 1 year and 4 days to get your car. You must be a really patient person!

With hand controls fitted I am interested to know if you will be able to do 1-Pedal Drive. Obviously when you apply the brake "pedal" you will activate regenerative braking but will just easing off on your hand throttle allow you to use 1-Pedal Drive?

Again, a warm welcome to you and, as Liv always says on the MachE Vlog, "enjoy the ride".
Hi sorry for the delay, but I can confirm that 1-pedal drive works well with the hand controls. Took a bit of getting used to, but think Iā€™ve got the hang of it now. If u let go af the hand controls it comes to a rather abrupt stop, but if u ease it off, it works like a dream. Iā€™m impressed!!

This is exactly the reason that I have turned off most of my "aids". I have MORE confidence in my abilities than those of the car.

Has anyone got to the bottom of the 1 years subscription to Ford Assist and how to extend it?

If you owned an ICE Ford you would get renewal with a Ford service after a year.

I have searched but found nothing so far

You have the same issue with some ICE Ford vehicles, our S-Max needed
servicing every 2 years. The solution is to have an "inspection service" at a Ford dealer that offers Ford Assist (not all do). The cost quoted for the Mach-E varies from Ā£65 - Ā£295; some dealers just seem to be quoting ICE prices whereas others are aware an EV needs very little work to be undertaken.

Just going back to the Blue Oval subscription, as mine has just expired after having my MME for a whole year nowšŸ˜³, has anyone concluded that the Ā£149 is worth it for the discounts, which I couldnt find the right info about? I tend to do most charging at home, but may need to travel further afield soon, so would be good to know the discounts and any other benefits, which help to work out how much charging would be needed to justify, etc. I also noticed the Ionity subscription along side the BO Premium. Is this something worth adding, does anyone happen to know? Many thanks in advance for any help.

From what I can see the Ā£149 is the subscription to Ionity, not the FordPass network (which costs Ā£2.49 per month for access but you get 5 years of access included with a new car). Ionity killed off its subscription service back in December and I'm not sure you can even renew it now.
