I'm curious, has anybody in the UK channel actually received their car since I left in January?

I think the frustration is palpable, the fact that the cars are built and just sitting there with no clear explanation for the delays...

Both you and Tony have put so much energy and time into this, and it means we are all a lot more clued up about the whole process, well as much as we can be with the limited information Ford have given out.

If it wasn't for your efforts which has kept us more in the loop than Ford ever have I'm sure number of us would have walked away a while ago! So thank you both, it is much appreciated. Even if it sometimes feels like we take a step back with every two steps forward, we are still getting that little bit closer to getting our cars each day!
I second this. I think both of them should be placed on Ford’s payroll ?

I know that I would probably have wavered by now without their input.

It says a lot that a couple of guys on a forum can provide more help and support than a multinational company.

I think that’s something that Ford have gotten badly wrong this time even factoring in the pandemic problems.

I am starting a new stalk just in case;);) MSC Immalocata left Jacksonville at 0514 (UTC) 23/2 and is due to arrive at Veracruz 0700 (UTC) 27/2. Unfortunatly, she is out of range of AIS shore trackers so I don't know exactly where she is at the moment. Last fix (28 hours ago)had her just off the coast of Miami

I just spoke to my dealer re vista, what status is currently showing etc (still showing 12th Feb in compound for what it’s worth so not showing as on the ship). He sent me this. Last paragraph really concerns me......

“Its not uncommon at the moment for the vista screen not being updated due to there being less personnel in offices , as an example I have a Fiesta that arrived yesterday here at the garage that the vista screen still has not updated from the 5th of Feb and the car being at degenham railhead !!!.

...... having said all of the above and just as I am typing this , there is a note coming through that a large numbers of cars that have been held for further quality checks , but at this time I don’t have exact details”
I'm wondering/guessing at quality checks re the battery problems they've had. The small battery is documented as going flat instead of being kept alive by the big one.

Just had this from my dealer. Explains a lot but says nothing:-

As part of Ford’s commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles, additional quality checks are being conducted on a significant volume of Mustang Mach-Es.

These additional checks cover both the vehicles that have already been built and current production. This has resulted in a lower volume of vehicles leaving the production facility in Mexico than had been anticipated and as such longer delivery lead times.

It is appreciated that whilst these delays are disappointing for all involved; it is essential that Mustang Mach-E meets the expected high-quality standards.

My thoughts are that

a)there have been serious problems - people left stranded because their car wouldn't work, batteries going flat etc and from my point of view it would be horrific to end up with a car that has these issues.

b)they have known this for months as these started to build on 9th December and perhaps before that and have been held back for months without any explanation so this communication at 25/02 is a disgrace and it still has no detail on the issues and how long the delay will be.

Time to chase your dealers people and ask to see your Vista info too.

Again just estimates but I got this from Ford Lease just now as I asked them for something I can use for my OLEV grant application. Maybe Ford Lease know something we don't...

I just spoke to my dealer who confirmed that my Mach E is in the compound at Veracruz. He did say that when that changes it could take a day or two to reflect it in the Ford tracking system.

Thanks. My car has near identical build date and ship date to yours. So I'm sure mine is in the same group as yours!

Right!! I have just ordered my THIRD MME!! The Grey one was still available in 10-12 weeks and Ford couldn't be bothered to answer my emails so I have cancelled my first order and re-ordered the grey. I'll see which one, the Black or the Grey comes first.

It's completely bonkers but I now have three on order on the Ford system. Madness.
