I have no doubt that if the potential extra delay in getting the cars over to the UK was solely down to Brexit red tape then Ford would be shouting it from the rooftops. That’s what most companies have been doing.Absolutely, this is exactly what I said, not more.
It obviously is not related to some problems found on the cars on the manufacturing line (or on delivered cars that would request some changes on the cars that are manufactured and not delivered).
I have the feeling that if anything needs to be done to fix cars, it will be on all EU/UK cars, so this does not explain why it would be 2 weeks for EU and 5/10 for UK (unless someone lies to us and it is also going to last 5/10 weeks to get our cars).
Frankly, I doubt. You mentioned that they might have found something on delivered cars, so there is no chance that this would just affect RHD cars, as all cars delivered at this time (excepting pre-prod models) were LHD, so that does not fit.
The silence from Ford is deafening on all this but until we have some official dates then all we are doing is theorising using very limited information. I suppose it helps pass the time...?
