Hi, Graham. Is this refering to orders placed prior to 17th Feb 2021 or 2020?

think that’s the whole point though. We havent received anything in writing (only you have.....). Fords comms are crap. Nothing about this for two weeks and then it’s gets drip fed out via one person on a forum. fecking wake up Ford. This is a big deal. Get a comms out to all your customers at the same time with an update and clear message.

So glad that the PICG issue has been sorted!

I have spent the last week re-looking at Mach E alternatives and have still come to the same conclusion.

Overall, the Mustang package of looks, range and price is, in my opinion, still the best by far.

Some others look good but, when you add the required features to make it into a ‘like for like’ comparison, they very quickly increase in cost and have less range.

I’m a very happy bunny today!

Happy Easter everyone!

The way I read it and from what my dealer has said it refers to ALL confirmed orders that haven't been registered onto the government portal up to the 17th March will have the "grant" honoured by Ford if they can't get anything from the government. So if, like me, you confirmed and signed on the dotted line on 11 Dec then you should get the £3000 reduction. Obviously only RWD SR/ER and AWD SR. If your dealer was on top of his game and registered yours when you confirmed then you should be safe anyway. This is my interpretation anyway. Best chat with your dealer.

Well, then I suggest you get in touch with your dealer and get him to send you what my dealer sent me

Great news for you guys, but not for those that have First Editions who pre-ordered early, where we lost out on the £3,500 PICG available when we pre-orderd. I have written to the Concierge to ask if Ford will also honour the PICG available when I pre-ordered my First Edition Mach-E (18/11/2019). At the time the PICG was £3,500, subsequently reduced (from 12/03/2020) by the Government to £3,000 and only on cars costing less than £50,000. So the First Editions also lost out on the grant. I know the earliest we confirmed our orders was 11/12/2020 (way after the 2020 Budget decision), but just a chance they might do this on principle, but not holding my breath!

That’s my point though Grahame. We all shouldn’t have to be chasing up our dealers individually for an update. Ford have all our contact details. Drop us an email with an update on what they know is a big deal for a lot of those who have signed up. Turn this into a positive news story for a change. I’m fed up having to constantly chase my dealer/concierge for updates!

I didn't chase my dealer for this information. He sent it to me as soon as he got it. As I said in another post I think Ford are expecting dealers to let their customers know of this news. Given the immense apathy being exhibited by dealers I think you should be getting on their backs. I have built up a good relationship with my dealer (and I haven't even met him yet) and the flow of information runs freely, both ways.

Good news all round today. Direct line have given me a reasonable insurance quote. £550 with £350 access. More Ch better that the crazy £1.5k offers I had been getting.

I also got it in writing. It wasn't drip fed, it just came via our dealers.

All dealers should be contacting their customers now.

As I understand it, the government were/are even playing hard ball on that. ie. They would not even confirm those placed in the portal prior to the feb date would get the £3k gov allowance.

Not our concern though as they can sort it out themselves.

No, I put in on here first thing this morning.

And then rang the dealer to check the detail before putting anything substantial on here.

Totally agree. I got some for running a few months ago. Great audio and awesome battery life.
Amazing for cycling. I hear cars behind me and can chat to a riding partner. It's like have ambient background music.

Also, fantastic at the office for zoom meetings. I can hear what's going on with the rest of the staff!
