My dealer hasn't got a fuckin clue .
I've just rang him , because I'm paying cash and wanted to know of they take Amex as the Mrs wants the nectar points ? anyway he's unsure, I even asked him if they did a min part ex as I've a mondeo on an 03 plate which is worth 5 ton max anyway he did say , there is an option online maybe though the account which I can't find , I then asked if he knew where it was and although he never checked he did say its probably in antwerp which I find hard to believe as it got there in March anyway I give up , ill just wait for the call now haha ?

So glad mine and @SteveUk ‘s dealer is great. He has been faultless and restores my faith in Ford!
Who is Georgia? I wonder how she fits on with Rebecca and Hannah?

When I went in for my test drive last week, my dealer had some paperwork for me to sign. I noticed that my deposit hadn't been deducted from the outstanding total. He mentioned he wasn't sure how that would be recouped. he checked with his manager and he was also clueless. He concluded that I might need to contact the concierge directly. Anybody have a clue?

Try the contact I have sent above she is really good, and may even point you in the right direction.

My dealer told me that they would just include the deposit as part of the lump sum I’m paying towards the car.
For example I pay £9,000 and that takes it up to £10,000.
They have been wrong before though…?

I'd be fine with that but their paperwork doesn't acknowledge the deposit. Apparently, because it was all done online and paid to ford directly. my paperwork is exactly like @Carl above

I would have thought that having paid our deposits directly to the dealer, and paying them when the car is ready, their accounts dept will prepare the final invoice.

They will need to make allowances for any p/ex, picg if applicable or Fords contribution. The final figure will be computed nearer the time when everything is known. The figure you saw would be the total payable, from which the deductions I mentioned above will be made.

Note I am far from an accountant, just a retired photo-lab owner- so I could be wrong! ?

The flaw in your logic is the line: ‘I would have thought…’

You’re assuming that some thought has gone in to this process by Ford?

My dealer says that they’ll get in touch when Ford invoice them for the car. They said they normally do that 4 weeks before they receive the car.

Will wait and see what happens then. I’m not expecting a smooth process.
