Yep well I suffer from stress amongst other things. You’d be surprised what something quite serious doesn’t bother me, but something trivial to you sets me off. So maybe be considerate of other peoples differences.
Show me where I’ve been inconsiderate. It’s a key….

Unsure but we have all paid over the odds for a premium branded car so why settle for a standard key regardless of how trivial some may think it is , there is no ford badges anywhere in the car as far as I know so why put it on the key , it's crazy ?
There’s a Ford logo on the front windshield….

Almost 600 messages since I last checked this morning... It’s a bit too much for me, I might have to bow out of the group. I don’t have the time to read that many messages every day, never mind following the format of which mobile number said what to which.

I think it’s calmed down now ?

I wasn't going to anyway. Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones, I have my car. I was going to stay on here and help those who haven't got theirs yet. I don't want to listen to all this crap about keys and such so I'm going to take a break
I recall you’ve had many issues in the past Grahame and vented your opinion.

If it’s going to be ‘I’m alright Jack’ now you have your car and ignore other people’s concerns a break might be good.

With all the deliveries coming up I’m sure we won’t be short of people still happy to help others.

@portlandg Grahame,
I'm sad to see you feel like this. I do understand, the main thing is the car, and I think now you have your car you are able to be more level in seeing the key isn't a huge issue. For many of us our dates keep moving back and we are frustrated. For some this means they are now picking at and fixating on things that ultimately won't matter once we are behind our wheels, but right now it is something tangible to try to change.
I understand that you want a break, because you want to be able to use this forum as a place to talk about the car, how it works, etc, I really do hope that once you have taken your break, and driven a few more miles, that you will be back to share your experiences with the rest of us, and also to celebrate for us when our cars come (whenever that may be) as we have with you.
Safe driving Grahame, and let us know how you get on with the puddle lights too!

Mate, you quickly forget how often we’ve all listened to your threats to cancel your order and walk away ?

Cant see any logic in the statement that two Ford keys are better than one mustang and one Ford
I would prefer that but at the same time I bet Ford think the average MME customer would absolutely have no idea and not kick up a fuss.

Very possibly but I was commenting on the idea that two basic Ford keys are better than one Mustang and one basic Ford. I see no logic to that statement at all.

Yes I have my car but I resent your suggestion that I now have the attitude of 'I'm alright Jack' and not going to help others. I just feel that the level of discontent is way over the top. I'm just as annoyed as the next person about the cheap key but as I said it's not so much of an issue for me as it is for some people. Yes I have just bought a car fo £50,000 and yes Ford have treated us UK customers like ? but now than I have my car, I'm loving every minute I'm in it, it is fabulous to drive and in my eyes money well spent. I'm sure most will think the same when they take delivery.
As a side note while some have been slagging off Ford about keys I have found out that there could possibly be some good news for some on the way but of course I'm alright Jack and am not helping you who are still waiting

So for those who are interested in the experience to come I had the opportunity to use the FordPass Charge Network card today for the first time.

Earlier in the week I pre-registered my card that was sent in the post all those months ago using the subscriptions page on the MyFord Dashboard. Today I was on a bit of a road trip and had the opportunity to test a BP Pulse 150kW charger.

Big Red was looking as luscious as always in the sun, and managed to top up from 59% to 80% in just 18 minutes - and using the FordPass card was seamless.

The car looks like an absolute menace - and I want, just need to check if a dog and pram can fit in the back once they hit dealers

BUT if they give me those 90's keys with key blades that don't fit for a £50k car I will laugh and walk out - makes you wonder what else they cheaped out on

grabbing your keys should be the moment that gets you excited about the drive to come, if grabbing generic Halfords black fobs is their answer then no wonder Tesla has made inroads into their business

It's only a guess on my behalf, although I think it makes a good logic. I've never owned a car with two different keys before, and customers would definitely question it. Much more sensible to have a matching pair in my opinion, no matter what the style.

As an aside, I've kept this in but feel like throwing caution to the wind: I feel sorry for the chap who was hounded out of the WhatsApp group the other night for having a differing opinion to the hive mind on keys, treating him second class because he "only ordered in February" and giving the impression his opinions weren't as valid because he hasn't waited as long just isn't on for what should be a friendly group.

I've been a car enthusiast all my life and I've never seen such insular bickering before amongst a group of people who should have a shared interest.

I only ordered in April, and guess what, I don't give a toss about keys either. I think you've all been frustrated for so long you've lost any perspective of a bit of plastic that lives entirely in your pocket.

Those of you who preordered in 2019 had no idea what the key looked like at the time, and I guarantee you wouldn't have cared if it came with a Ford key back then.

Feel free to block me/kick me out of the WhatsApp group whatever for "only ordering in April" and daring to have an opinion, I don't care. I came here to discuss an exciting new car and learn about it with others, and I'll keep contributing to those discussions where I can.
